My dad and his wife order from here every week. I was picking up dinner while in town, and originally, we were supposed to eat by my hotel closer to Daytona. Plans changed and I had to find somewhere near them and pick up pizza. I realized it must be the same place when saw they had a Monday night special. My dad often talks about that.

The first time I called I was put on hold for almost 10 minutes. I tried to call back a few times, and the line rang busy each time, and then I finally got through. I was told our order would take 20-25 minutes. It ended up taking 50. We ordered a large pizza with half specialty pizza the “House Special” (Cheese, Onions, Peppers, Mushrooms, Pepperoni, Hamburger, Sausage) with no hamburger and half pepperoni. We also got the Greek Salad.

I guess the big question is was it worth the wait? It was okay. I have never had red peppers on a pizza in place of green. For me, that changed the taste big time; however, the sausage literally tasted like the most amazing meatballs. The crust was good too, but it was huge on the pepperoni side which I don’t understand. The salad was okay. It’s one of the first pizzas we have had not get devoured for leftovers. 4 of us ate, and there were still 2 pieces out of 8 left.

I would give it another try if I lived there but definitely not...

My family has been going to stavros for at least 20 years, we’ve ordered for things like my high school graduation party, birthdays, celebrations, etc. I remember going with my family there since I was little. I don’t live in town anymore, but when I come to visit my parents, we still usually order a pizza from here.

That said, I really wish that they would get their wait times more accurate when ordering. Today, I called and was quoted 30-45 minutes, I got there at 45 minutes because they seemed busy, but I sat there for an additional 30 minutes waiting for the order to be ready. I personally don’t mind waiting, but would rather the time be more accurate. If they just told me it was going to be an hour and fifteen minutes, I would’ve come then, no big deal. It’s the fact that I had to waste my time sitting there expecting for it to be done soon.

This has been the second time in the last couple of months that this has happened. In the past, I’ve never had this issue, so I really hope that this is a temporary problem that will...

I went to this Stavro’s restaurant last night for dinner, arrived at 8:30, which was probably after the main dinner rush, and I had no trouble getting a table. I had been to this branch once before, and was impressed. That experience was repeated - excellent food, the specials are the best value for money in town, and the service was perfect. I had the cheese calzone, and the salad, delicious! Both portions were big enough for two meals, so I brought half of it all home with me. Definitely recommended, no wonder it’s so popular. Congratulations to all the staff and management at Stavro’s, you have figured out the formula, and it works! 👍🏻💥👏🏻 One suggestion from this marketing professional: Gentle appropriate background music could add some charm to the atmosphere, which is just a bit ‘dry’ at present. But that music wld need to be personally selected, and nothing canned from a broadcast station. You are an Italian/Greek restaurant, so there’s your cue - tons of beautiful music from the 50s, 60s and 70s to draw upon....

Tis a fine establishment. After soaking up the sun and the smelling like chlorine my family and I were famished. Saw pictures of the salad and had to check it out. I have to say the salad is the real deal; an Italian sub without the bread, unless you sandwich it between the cheesy garlic bread. We ordered the garlic bread with cheese (large), large Greek salad, and large pepperoni, and some Yuenglings. Enjoyed the experience and the staff was great and attentive. We will be back ... tempted to make that meal a Saturday tradition 😀
