I was really excited to try this place because I love beef tripe, and this restaurant is so close to me. I thought I had found my new go-to spot, but instead, I left completely disappointed, frustrated, and feeling ripped off.
I ordered takeout, and while I was waiting, I watched them prepare my order—and that’s when I knew I was about to get scammed. They scooped exactly ONE tiny scoop of beef tripe into the container, and then, instead of adding more, they just poured in a ton of broth to make it look full. (If you look at the photo attached to this review you can see how the container was mostly broth). On top of that, the tripe itself was chopped up into tiny little bits, so it wasn’t even a proper portion. I love beef tripe, and I was so disappointed to see how little they gave me.
Then came the price—close to $50 for this tiny, watered-down meal. Are you kidding me? For that price, I was expecting at least a decent portion, not a bowl full of soup with barely any meat.
I politely asked the worker if they could actually fill the container with more tripe instead of all that broth, and instead of trying to help, they rudely snapped at me, saying, "I’m already giving you more than what people usually get." Excuse me? That was their response to a paying customer? Not even an ounce of professionalism or care for their food quality.
And it gets worse—when I asked for a small container of soy sauce or chili oil, they told me it would be $5 extra. FIVE DOLLARS for a tiny plastic cup of chili oil, after I had already spent almost $50? That is just pure greed. If it were $1-2, I wouldn’t have cared, but $5 for a single condiment? That’s robbery.
To top it all off, the place was completely empty when I walked in. Now I understand why. Clearly, people already know this place is a rip-off. The only reason they even have decent reviews must be because their family and friends are posting them.
The food was average at best, but considering the terrible portions, outrageous pricing, and rude attitude of the staff, this place is absolutely not worth it. Save your money, your time, and your patience—go...
Read moreWhat an absolute embarrassment. This restaurant just opened, and you’d think they’d try to make a good first impression—but no, they’re already cutting corners and scamming customers. The portion sizes are laughable. They act like beef tripe is some kind of rare treasure, only giving two tiny, chopped-up pieces per bowl, as if they’re trying to squeeze every last cent out of their customers.
For a new restaurant, you’d expect them to be more generous, build a loyal customer base, and actually serve decent portions. Instead, they’re already penny-pinching, and it shows. The place was completely empty, which makes total sense because who would come back for this nonsense? The only positive reviews must be from their own family, trying to save face. Total rip-off—don’t...
Read moreIt was my first time having beef offal noodle soup, and while I’m not sure how authentic it was, it was pretty good! The place was bustling, which is always a great sign. We also ordered three skewers, and the total (before tip) was under $27.
What really stood out to me wasn’t just the taste but the quality and the portion, and a price that feels fair and accessible for the community. In times like these, it’s rare to find a place that balances flavor with affordability. I truly appreciate businesses like this and hope they continue bringing out amazing food while keeping it welcoming...
