Where do I begin… First time here, experience was horrible as soon as we sat down. Our waiter was discombobulated, forgetful and sloppy. Our table was shaky, we asked for him to fix it 2 times, we ordered beers that came in bottle and I asked for glasses 2 times. 30 min pass by, he walked over to us 2 times in meantime and didn’t address either of the requests. Eventually when the beers were already done he came over and asked if we wanted glasses. Moving on, he brought a coconut shrimp appetizer, which was not what we ordered. We ordered coconut shrimp roll. But that’s not even the worst of it, when he brought it over slightly out of breath he had a long, icicle like snot hanging from his nose. When the correct order of coconut shrimp roll was brought, it was clearly stale. You can see that the shrimp was 1 or 2 days old. It was rancid. He proceeded to bring the next order which was also wrong. When ordering one of the rolls there was substitution request of fresh salmon instead of smoked salmon, which was disregarded. Following that, he brought crispy tuna rice appetizer that consisted of 5 pieces, when putting plate down on table, he dropped one of the pieces of the table. He apologized but did not rectify or attempt to clean it up. To sum up, the rolls were horrible the seaweed they wrap the rolls in is very chewy and almost stale. It was impossible to swallow. The food left much to be desired. My family ordered hibachi dinner steak and lobster. Steak was very chewy and tasteless. It is definitely not worth the price. Empty plates of food were not once removed from table throughout our dinner. Experience was so bad that even their coke was on its last breath with 3 bubbles per glass. I was really looking forward to the experience and food; really wanted to like this one as it is only few minutes away from our home. But we will...
Read moreMade reservations and got seated right away. Since it I was in a party of just four, we were seated with strangers. This was not an issue as the family was out celebrating a birthday and were friendly.
Service and food were not great. Waitress that took our order was impatient and when my wife had a couple of questions, she seemed annoyed. Chef was ok, not super friendly but can’t say he was rude, he was simply there doing his job.
Onto the food, which was really not that good considering the price they charge. We ordered the mignon and steak with lobster tail. Both of the steak seemed to be about 4 oz. (actually size not listed on menu). Steak tasted ok but everything else though from the lobster to the shrimp to the fried rice to the vegetables was super salty. I know on the menu it states that the food is cooked in garlic butter and soy sauce but holy mackerel didn’t know the chef was going to drench everything in it.
Also, as I had mentioned we were seated with strangers. I felt that the food we ordered should not have been cooked all together with theirs. There was plenty of space for the chef on the griddle to cook our food and the other family’s food on separate sides. Instead of doing that, he cooked everything together and everything got sliced up into pieces. So what was a small steaks to begin with, he could’ve given more to the other party or vice versa, which we felt happened.
Overall, we were disappointed with the overall experience. We decided to come to Arirang because of the reviews online and it’s surprising how the reviews are so high. Portions not big, food and service not good. We will not...
Read moreI’ll never go back. There are over several issues I had with tonights dinner. It was a birthday and I told the hostess, there was no acknowledgment the entire night. The waiter brings a birthday candle to the wrong table, it was my table. He’s asking the people at the other table who’s birthday? and it was none of them. Then when I told him we had the birthday, he just stared at me and said he had to get something. I said never mind we’re leaving. I already signed the check at this point. Smh.
I told the chef there were allergies and he was supposed to make my son's white rice first, he just never made it.Everyone got served, rice, veggies and meat and we were still waiting. Finally I said where is my son's white rice? He points to the waiter. So I had to ask the waiter who brings it out the kitchen. I ordered off the kids menu and the waitress brings out an adult drink for my little son. When I asked for a kiddie cup like the family next to me had, she questions me. I stated he cannot drink it off that big (glass) cup. It took so long for her to bring a plastic cup.If kids eat free, and I ordered off the kids menu, why was I charged for an adult glass???
Then my other son vomited the food after he ate it in the bathroom and also our service/chef was ok. I’ll never go back. The food was tasty but the portions weren’t fair as I got the little bit of left over rice and I felt the family that came and sat after me had better treatment. I had hope in this place...
