I have been going to this location since it opened every day during the week and on the weekend. On the weekend I have my little poodle mix es with me when I pick up my sandwich. They give them pup cups and play with them. Clearly they donāt recognize me on the weekend as I look completely weekend casual and not office ready. Anyways today Iām getting my sandwich with me little guys and another dog comes in so I keep mine towards the back cuz I donāt take chances even though my 2 love other dogs they r dogs after all. Then another dog comes in off leash runs back at my dogs and the owner is at the door. The hi l behind the register asked me to leave a when I told the owner to get his dog and it should be on a leash. She said thatās my friend and he brings his dog in all the time. OFF LEaaSh! Thatās who should have been asked to leave. ! Totally unprofessional! I will never go there again and I am going to take out an ad in the Rockaway times, I am going to put up posters, I am going on a campaign to cut their business as much as possible! I am gonna have all my friends stop going in there and do whatever I can! Totally unfair treatment! I was not the one breaking the law! My dogs did not run up to anyone elseās dog. That unleashed dog ran up to my dogs and I had no idea what may have happened!!! I am livid and beyond words right now and literally still shaking mad UPDATE: To the owner, you are correct that we have always been treated well and yes they have always loved my dogs since they were puppies almost 3 years now. Pup cups and all and I would have gladly paid for them if asked but they loved giving them to the boys and playing with them. But not true is that I said I didnāt want my food and left first. The girl can out and said that other dog goes in ther every day and they were friends and asked me to leave than some older woman came around the corner and said I should leave cuz dogs werenāt allowed . Hello there were two other dogs in there again one OFF LEaaSH! I take that seriously! I have been attacked and bitten twice by off leash dogs on 116and on the boardwalk and had a dog attacked by an off leash dog too!! I love you good and coffee but that was unfair and unprofessional festival. I know they r all very young teenage workers but if thatās who is left in charge they should know how to handle a situation and the unleashed dog should have been the one made to leave not me. And yes I was yelling at that owner bcuz he was just acting like it was no big deal that his dog ran up on us and maybe it didnāt mean any harm but who knows! It was a bad experience and to be treated like I was the one out of pocket was worse, bcuz they were friends with the other customer with the UNLEASHED...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate: Shortly after my original review below, the owner responded. Fake apologized for the wait and focus was on me bashing the work ethics of the shop. Nothing on how there was turkey meat attached to my bagel wrapper or apology for the unsanitary work and long wait for a bagel that just needed spread and didn't even need to be toasted. I've seen shops that are much smaller work faster after receiving the order, so I honestly don't think a 13 minute made sense for such a simple order. Long story short, the owner of this establishment does not value it's customers. If they did, they would have just apologized and asked the customer to come back with hopes that there would be improvement at the next visit. The owner instead decided to throw back a snarky comment...so I will not be returning to this spot and I wouldn't suggest going to this place for anyone wondering...their bagels aren't even very good and it can be a bit confusing for a first time customer.
I ordered an egg bagel with scallion cream cheese. I figured it wouldn't take long and my friend who ate here previously told me it was good. My order said it was paid for at 12:56pm and I didn't receive my order until 1:09PM. I am sure that because of the wait, I missed a couple of trains and had to wait an extra 10 minutes for it. There should have been no reason for me to have to wait 15 minutes for a bagel, especially since it was so simple and didn't even have to be toasted. The bagel was not properly wrapped, exposing some of the bagel and when I went to open the wrapper I noticed there was turkey and lettuce stuck to it, which makes me feel like they aren't cleaning the workspace properly or they aren't changing gloves. If I were vegetarian or vegan this would be an issue. There was very little cream cheese and the bagel was pretty dry. Not worth the $4.50 when I could've gotten it for half the price in Brooklyn. The vegetarian cream cheese looks like there aren't real vegetables in it..it has specka of red, orange and green, which leaves me wondering if they just mixed in ranch powder. The area where you pay for your food seemed to be over packed with teenage girls and an older lady who looks like she is their coach. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI got there just before end of day for them I am a local guy wants to support our local business I order a Rubben on a hero with spicy mustard on the side, weāll they brought the order it was done on Rye bread forgot about mustard I am running late for church I ask for money back since I couldnāt afford to wait for them to get it right They told me that they will have to call the manager on the phone he declined my request again I told them I have waited enough time I couldnāt anymore I grab my receipt and stated will return the following day So today July 27 I returned to ask for money back they offer to prepare a new sandwich but at this point I donāt feel pleased with their service I explain to the manager the circumstances he was about to returned me my $16.39 but pull back when a cashier from the shift when this took place stated that I have make the order in person and they offered to get it right which I declined Manager stated he will give me back a partial refund I declined so he packeted the money back into the register I am totally displease and sad at the same time on how I was treated the day of the order is like the counter could care less about the order and I was doing something wrong by asking for My money back and the following day feel the same after talking...
