Rogers — Restaurant in New York

I recently had a perplexing experience at a bar that claimed to be open until 4 AM. However, upon arrival, I was met by a woman at the front who insisted that the bar was closed to walk-ins and that I needed a reservation for the second floor. This situation left me puzzled and frustrated, especially considering the Google reviews had indicated otherwise.

The inconsistency between the advertised hours and the actual access policy was quite disappointing. It's essential for businesses to maintain transparency and provide accurate information to their potential customers. In this case, the miscommunication between what was stated online and the on-site experience was a significant letdown.

While I cannot speak to the bar's overall quality or ambiance since I didn't get a chance to experience it firsthand, I would advise potential patrons to exercise caution and perhaps call ahead to confirm their policies and operating hours. It's unfortunate when a promising establishment falls short due to communication issues...

We had a family gathering in Rockaway last weekend with relatives from all over the country. We stayed at Rogers and took up practically every room. The place is awesome and the people who work there couldn’t have been nicer. Rooms are updated and very clean, and the party room they let us use was great. It allowed for some privacy with quick access to the bar and the bands that played both nights. Music was great and the bar crowd was fun! A big thanks to Mike McMahon who accommodated our large crew, to Renee who greeted everyone with a smile and remained very patient as she moved rooms around to make everyone comfortable, and to Brendan and the other bartenders who were there with our non-stop refill requests. Mike - you did an awesome job renovating the hotel, and brought a real Irish pub feel to the bar. To those who haven’t been there yet, stop by for a few pints. You won’t be disappointed. Looking forward to going back for a few more...

Stayed here two weeks ago with a bachelorette party. Can’t say enough about Rogers. The hotel has been completely renovated. Beds are super comfortable, has all the amenities you expect from a hotel, individually controlled thermostat, and a great historic Irish bar on the ground floor. If you enjoy taking part in Irish tales… they abound, complete with the much loved Irish brogue… the staff are very accommodating and pleasant to deal with. Noice from the bar had no impact on our stay… couldn’t even hear anything and we were in the first floor. Additionally they are one block up from Rockaway beach and there is a private parking lot a half a block away (additional charge). The only improvement to be made is some trees and furniture on rooftop deck….. which is huge! Will definitely...
