They were only serving appetizers when I went, which was okay. (Night of 7/16/22) They need to screen their hookah patrons a bit more thoroughly, or hold them to the same restaurant standards. The tall, brown skin lady that was serving hookah, was super unsanitary! Not to mention she looked like she rolled out of her bed! Nike slides, mini sweat shorts on, dingy wife beater and headband with messy hair. She had the audacity to smoke off the hookah hose without a mouthpiece, then handed it to me as if we were relatives! Then when I professionally addressed it, she first responded with, “$40.” Then, I asked for a different hose, she responded, “I always forget to use my mouthpiece, people get so tight at me.” Um yes because we are still in a pandemic, with God knows what being passed around! She had the nerve to pull her funky mouthpiece out the middle of her breast and show it to me. Yuck! And it doesn't stop there, she proceeded to pretend to bring me a separate hookah hose after I paid, in which she came back with same one! I know this, because it had the same crack on the wooden part. I asked another hookah patron for a disposable hose and she said they did not have any and all their hoses were messed up anyway. But not even two minutes later, another table received a hookah with a disposable hose. Totally ruined the experience for me. Understandably, the hookah patrons are more than likely just vendors, however, I believe it is extremely important to know who you’re doing business with. Because there are unprofessional, unsanitary and unequipped hookah vendors like the ones I experienced that night and they unfortunately can give the business a bad rep. And the place is a bit pricey to not have a...
Read moreMy boyfriend told me he heard about this new seafood restaurant in the neighborhood and I should try the crab legs since it’s one of my favorites. I was skeptical at first because I have tried 2 other seafood spots in the area and they were lackluster at best. But I was craving some crab legs and figured I would give it a try. I called and placed a take out order and right from the start the lady who took my take out was pleasant, patient and helpful. I ordered the sweet chili wings, escovitch fried snapper and a double order of the crab boil ( just in case the crabs were small which I hate that) with the corn and potatoes in garlic butter sauce. I went to pick up my order and the spot is nice. It’s modern with a perfect size bar and a dj booth that looks like an IG moment. The staff was pleasant. Now to the important part. I was so pleased to see that my snow crab legs was a nice chunky size full of good crab meat. The corn was sweet and the potatoes steamed to perfection. The boil was very flavorful and not salty thank gosh! In all the reviews I have given over the years for food to travel I have never given 5 stars. This is a neighborhood seafood gem that was definitely needed. I will be hitting this place up soon for a cocktail and many more seafood boils to come. Now since it’s only been open for a month, I beg for mgmt. to keep up with the great customer service , friendly staff, quality and portion of the food. Kudos to a great seafood spot, you...
