If there were an option to give 0 stars, I would have but unfortunately 1 star is the lowest I can give.
On January 27, 2021, my sister and family decided to order half a dozen specialized cupcakes for Valentine's Day. The order consisted of 1 fun-fetti topped cheesecake, 1 red velvet with oreo, 1 strawberry shortcake, 1 cookies and cream topped cheesecake and 2 cookie dough cupcakes. My brother went to pick up the order. First of all, it took a significant amount of time to even convince them that an order was even placed at all with receipt at hand (email). Once they found the order, the only cupcakes they had were the fun-fetti cheesecake, regular red velvet (without oreos), and strawberry shortcake. While my brother was attempting to rectify this situation, he had to call my sister for assistance. Additionally, he was greeted with disrespect. The woman that he spoke to was rude and completely disorganized. We are in 2021. Why are we keeping orders in physical folders? Do we not have computerized systems that can keep track of peopleâs orders especially if you're emailing receipts? That makes sense to me but apparently, that's not how business is done here.
When I arrived home, my sister was mortified to see that essentially the entire order was completely incorrect. There's no excuse that it was Valentine's Day because this order was purchased 2 weeks in advance. Why would you not actually abide by what was ordered but instead, provide cupcakes that you more than likely had sitting out on display and randomly gave? This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. When we saw this business in the neighborhood, we wanted to give it a fair chance. But they proved beyond a reasonable doubt that they do not deserve our business. We will never step foot into this business again. Absolutely ridiculous.

UPDATE: The company was called about their multiple mishaps. Firstly, the second woman that the call was forwarded to was, as expected, disrespectful and rude. Based off her tone, it seems as if they don't even realize the extent of this issue. At the end of the day, it is not about 6 silly cupcakes. It is about the lack of professionalism all throughout. The order was wrong. And if they weren't informed of this order being wrong, they would've never tried to rectify it. And when we called about it, they decided to use an angry and annoyed tone as if they were the ones that were inconvenienced and not us. The woman literally ended her call with "are we done? Are we done? Are we done?" Spectacular customer service, I'm telling you.
Plus, when my sister emailed this company to inform them of their mishaps, they decided to email back with sarcasm. So this is the kind of business that they are. It is very unfortunate that we had to go through this and I hope that they learn from this because if these so-called customer service representatives do not learn how to properly speak to customers and rectify issues that they caused, they will not last for long. Such a shame that we once rooted...
Read moreMy updated review (October 16, 2021): I was in the mood for a dessert and decided to give this bakery a second chance after a negative experience. I'm glad I did because the cashier was very patient, accommodating, and knowledgeable about their cupcakes (which I ended up buying five of). The owner, Tina, also apologized for my previous experience and informed me that things have changed since then. I will be doing my part to ensure that this Black-owned business survives through this pandemic and beyond.
This was my original review in 2019: After getting rave reviews from the people that I bought their cupcakes for on July 5th, I decided to stop by 10 minutes ago to try a cupcake for myself. The person behind the register brusquely informed me before I even had a chance to place my order that they were closed and pointed to the sign, even though:
the door was open when I'd stepped in (it stands to reason that one shouldn't have their shop door open if they are "closed")
Google clearly has their hours listed as Saturday from 11:00 AM-7:00 PM (as of the publishing of this posting)
The fact that the person behind the counter hadn't even bothered to check her tone and resumed to clean the countertopinstead of apologizing to me for her unprofessional behavior confirms that they will never get a dime of my money and I will never set foot in there again. I will be sure to advise others to...
Read moreI placed an order for my daughters 1st birthday. So here are all the pictures left side is what i asked for and right side is what was provided. Very very disappointing work was done. As you can c simple details were not followed! the cake is pretty close to the picture but i dont understand y red flowers werenât used (which are so easy to find). For the cake i asked for pistachio flavor and to add pistachio nuts in it and was charged extra yet no nuts were found in the cake. Cake pops look nothing like the 1s i wanted and tasted horrible, raww. Flavor for cake pops was vanilla. Sugar cookies as u can c in the picture look nothing like what i asked for. Minimal effort! And the worst part was the cupcakes, they literally gave whatever they sell in store with an ugly tiny butterfly on it. Didnt even bother changing the cupcake paper/lining. This place is fine for grabbing a cupcake on the go, but definitely not for a birthday/party order. And i would also like to say they r more expensive then most of the ppl you can find on instagram whos work is wayyyy better then this. đ i would also like to point out full payment is asked for before hand. And i was told they dont do samples. And I believe that just gives them more reasons to be so careless and put such little effort, because they know they got the payment already so doesnât even...
