Caliente's — Restaurant in New York

Please save yourself of this NOT so “Caliente”experience. Prices are high and the food was not spot on. I thought this would be a nice experience for Mother’s Day so I took my Mother, Wife and kids. Only three entrees and two appetizers and still some food came out cold. Food was overly seasoned decent in portion but definitely overpriced. Drinks are twenty buck a pop for a 8oz cup. The spot is a whole in the wall, it felt like at any moment the doors would be shut and everyone would turn into Vampires. I was trying to get out before the sun set. Lol but all jokes aside, For the prices I thought it would be a Cultural City Island experience. Far from it! Caliente is more like a “Lukewarm-ient”No bueno! Try it but don’t say you were not warned. Oh, and it’s bad enough I willingly gave up 300 plus of my hard earned they did not want to accept my Amax American Express card, What a slap in the American way. They waited until I asked for my check to tell me that they simply don’t accept American Express. What if I did not have any other cards with me? Poor management... And they...

The waiter seem like she was high or intoxicated she messed up all our orders I came with a large party of 11 and I told her I don't eat meat she said it was shrimp dumplings I ate one and felt sick the second one I opened an it was meat she clearly told us it was shrimp or else i wouldn't of eaten it, immediately i had to excuse myself and go to the bathroom. i haven't ate meat in over 4yrs, I have been sick ever since this is the worst experience ever.... And kept it on the bill we still had to pay for it the shrimp tacos were disgusting the tortilla was cold seems like it came straight out the fridge and they just put some shrimp that was cooked from the morning after and put it on the taco .... We were the only ones there for about 2 hours and orders were being missed then people came in and...

We had a girls brunch reserved on a Saturday for 10 of us and there was a mix up with the days. They no longer have brunch on Saturdays but wow did they make it up. The only reason I didn’t give them a five star is because of the mix up of dates. They were the most apologetic and accommodated us with the brunch There was a pop up shop going on and gave us a great table. All I have is good things to say. The food was so amazing, the rum punch was one of the best, the vibe/music was awesome, and lastly the customer service was exceptional. Our waitress was so personable and made sure we were having a great experience. I will definitely...
