Cascon Cheesecake — Restaurant in New York

I bought a very expensive cheesecake from here. The cheesecake was around 50 dollars, and was frozen. The girl working up front made me aware it was frozen, and I accepted because that was the only way I could get an Italian cheesecake same day. I asked the girl how long it would take for the cake to defrost. She said 4 hours. I thought that was fine because we wouldn't be eating it until much later anyway. I had opened up the cheesecake at my boyfriend's parent's house 6 hours after purchasing. I was so embarrassed because the cake appeared to have two small green spots on it, which looked like mold. My boyfriend quickly took the pieces off, so that no one would see. Also, the cake wasn't fully defrosted, and it was extremely dry. I could see that no one was enjoying it. Not one person finished the cake. I will never purchase from them again. How do they not check the cakes before giving them to customers? How Long do they keep a cheesecake frozen before realizing its probably old, and should throw it out? Thanks Cascon for a wonderful wedding cake!!

They are contracted with Terrace on the Park venue and provided us with a small variety of cake and filling options as well as cake design options. (since it is a contract with a venue, that is probably why we had limited cake options to choose from, which is fine. I believe we could have paid extra for more options). We picked a very simple cake design that incorporated our wedding colors, navy blue and burgundy red. They were very easy to work with and cake tasting was very quick. After we picked our cake, it was all taken care of from there. Cascon got in touch with Terrace and scheduled delivery on our wedding day. I didn't have to worry about a thing! On our wedding day, the cake was there!
