Chef Hong II — Restaurant in New York

I love this place, I've been on Staten Island ten years now, I come from Brooklyn where it's pretty easy to find decent Chinese food, I love Chinese takeout, but I pretty much stopped eating it after moving out here cause I could never find a restaurant with good food, then I tried this place a couple weeks ago after finding the menu in my mail and I'm back to eating Chinese take out like twice a week now, this food is fantastic, it's not overly oily like many other places and the food has wonderful flavor, that's what I came to notice about most Chinese takeout spots on Staten Island, all those places lacked good flavor, but this place Chef Hong II is outstanding, every dish I've ordered so far has been delicious, it reminds me of the great takeout spots in Brooklyn, even better than many of those, when you see this little corner takeout restaurant from outside you may not think it's going to have such great food, but trust me and try it I promise you, you will love it and it will be your new go to spot for...

Just moved to the area from eltingville. Anyone who lives on the island knows that it is hard to find a good spot, where you get GREAT Chinese food... well Tottenville here is a hidden gem. Please don’t pass It by. It was taken over by new owners recently so any former negative feedback you may read, do not apply it to this restaurant. The food is wonderful and the people are even better. The owner Jenny is so warm and friendly and her husband makes all of the food fresh and has been in this business for over 20 years. Since I moved near this place, the deliveries have always been speedy, and the food comes perfect.

The food seems a lot cleaner in health, taste, and overall look compared to other Chinese food places I've ordered from. Most combo dishes come with a small white rice already, so just make sure you understand that, if you don't want it, you can tell them over the phone. Always tip your delivery drivers! They deserve it.
