Mikey Bagels — Restaurant in New York

I’ve had bagels from all 5 boroughs, NJ, PA, CT…, these are bagels. I understand there’s good and bad, but these are what I’d call a NY Bagel. I’m not knocking that. But- the inside has little to no appeal and the employees are just about clueless. You ask them questions simply about cream cheese availability and they have no clue. They are so distracted that they won’t even give you back your change… would I go back? Absolutely not. And trust me I love good bagel shops and even travel from Staten Island to queens… this place I guess is good if your some Brooklynite who loves to be obnoxious and claims this is the best place out of the 4 total they tried. I walked in to this establishment, asking for a toasted plain bagel with light butter. What I received was the polar opposite of what I asked for. I thenReceived a non-toasted bagel with a lot of butter And mind you when he was putting the bagel inside of a bag. I asked the guy at the counter who I’m assuming is the owner’s son that’s a toasted plain bagel with light butter because it looked very odd to me. I then get back to my home and have come to the conclusion that I have received a non-toasted bagel with a lot of butter. Breakfast of Denver omelet was basic with no pizzazz. As a Staten Island visitor on a first time experience, I was disappointed. Denny's has nothing to worry about. Although it was within walking distance of where I stayed. I was surprised at the amount of people searching thru street trash cans not just across from this deli but even at Wall Street. My experience there at Miley's was ok. However, there are so many other bagel shops everywhere and I would explore other shops...
