I've ordered from Common Good in Harlem four times, and while the food was great three of those times, my last experience was very disappointing and concerning. I ordered a croissant breakfast sandwich, and when I took a bite, I couldn't even bite through it. Upon opening the sandwich, I discovered a piece of waxy plastic paper cooked into the cheese and embedded in the sandwich.

I immediately called the manager, and his suggestion was to send me another sandwich. As a chef myself, I found this unacceptable since this is a serious safety issue. If my son had bitten into it on his own, he could have choked or something worse could have happened.

I'm not sure why proper procedures aren’t being followed in the kitchen, but this experience was not only unpleasant but also frightening. I won't be ordering from here again. This kind of negligence needs to be addressed to ensure the safety of customers,...

Common Good Harlem is a hidden gem that I'm thrilled to have discovered! Stepping inside feels like entering a cozy oasis, with friendly faces and a welcoming vibe. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. I'm particularly fond of the plush chairs at the front – the perfect spot to unwind with a book or catch up on some work. And their bagel with cream cheese and smashed avocado? Absolutely addictive! (they even toast it just the way I like it) With prices that won't break the bank, Common Good has quickly become my favorite gem in the neighborhood. Can't wait to cozy up here...

Went for breakfast and quick coffee! The cafe looks inviting from Outside and its beautiful and cozy from inside. Clean and great variety of pastries. Ordered two cappuccinos, avocado toast and an almond croissant. Avocado toast was delicious and filling. Came with chips on side. Coffee was amazing. The croissant was good and had good filling but the sweetness can be reduced a bit but maybe its just what i felt. Also, it was burnt while warming it up. Maybe, they can take care of these little things. The service was good and the people were very friendly. Would recommend going...

I visited this cafe last weekend afternoon with my daighter snd her playdate and her mom. their kitchen was already closed when we visited so we only get yo try the pastries and drinks, I had the pecan sticky bun and it was yummy! My daughter had her lemonade and chocolate croissant she said it was ok. Maybe it was busy that day as the service was really slow, we had to remind our barista about our pastries. Buy anyway, i want to try other things from them and i hope they have the sticky bun when i return. It was really yummy.
