It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood overlooking Jackie Robinson Park & Pool on Edgecombe Ave. Enjoying an afternoon walk on this warm & sunny day. There's an enchanting cool breeze that sways the tree leaves back & forth. It's picturesque. This park which stretches from 145th Street up to the Polo Grounds Towers Projects on 155th Street & Bradhurst Avenue. Fond memories flood my mind as I think of my youthful summers running through this park, swimming in the pool, and playing freeze tag while making friends in the 1970s. Now in my retirement mode, that was half a century ago. It actually brings a smile to my face as i walk this stretch on Edgecombe Avenue. My oh my doesn't time fly by, like the insects who insist upon invading my personal space 🐞🐛🪲 . It's all good😎.

Read moreWe love this pool. Friendly & personable staff. Shout out to the locker gang for all the good vibes & small talk before our sessions. Shower gang thank you for keeping our showers clean & dry. Lifeguards stay on point trust me we've tried them lol. Security (Nakita) Wynter loves you! Since day one you've been so good with her & I thank you. Maintenance I think a hose with a little bit of pressure will work way better than trying to sweep wet leafs. Spray them in a pile..then dump them. Lets not let the leafs take over our pool. Overall my experience has been great at Jackie Robinson & I just made my daughters official members so now they can take advantage of all the other activities & fun they have to offer. Looking forward to the rest of the summer. Stay cool guys...
Read moreThe staff is allowing mothers to bring their pubescent sons into the women's locker room where girls and women are NAKED to various stages of undress! This is TOTALLY INAPPROPRIATE AND UNCOMFORTABLE to women showering and getting dressed or undressed! I was taking a shower after swimming today, and this belligerent mother send her son back to the shower area after I told her he was told old to be in there. Boys over 4 years old should not be in the women's locker room! The staff does not enforce this and it is an invasion of privacy to have boys up to 12 years old in the women's...
