I went on Wednesday at 12:55pm and waited with a man sitting in the corner, on his phone, for a waiter. Ten minutes later, it turns out that the guy in the corner was one of the delivery guys. He never said a word to me or called a waiter out of the back. When the waiter did come out, he gave me the regular menu. He seemed bothered when I asked for the Lunch Special menu and chai (they don't serve chai). Eventually, things lined up, other guests arrived (a foreign tourist family came in and a single man) and my meal came out. The food was fine but the service (including another waiter) just wasn't warm. My first visit was better.

Took my dad out to celebrate his 70th Birthday this past Friday, August 25. He had a good time, the people knew him because he comes often, they were pleasant and the food was good. I was actually surprised at how good the food was especially since I've never been or had eaten Indian food in my life. Gotta explore other cultural food more I see. Food was tastefully spicy, not expensive and the wine and water was chilled to taste. A Must Come Back To. Enjoy the photos of my dad, myself and sister. I have even enclosed the menu.

One of the worst customer experiences I’ve had. It felt like they were forcing everyone to order their lunch special — no menu was offered until I explicitly asked for it. I eventually ordered the biriyani, and to my surprise, this is probably the only restaurant that serves biriyani without any raita or gravy. Disappointing and not worth the visit. And moreover it’s not hygiene my second photo will explain if you zoom in.

I ordered kadai paneer, mango lassi, garlic naan, rasmalai and aloo tikki chole. I had aloo tikki chole first and it was literally chef’s kiss 😚 I cannot describe how good it was. It filled my stomach for three ish hours as well. The mango lassi was pretty good too. Then for dinner, I opened up the kadai paneer and it just looked bad. The gravy was poorly made by just looking at it. It wasn’t made with milk. Just a lot of residual water. There was a lot of onions and tomatoes. The paneer was cut in rectangles instead of cubes and the entire thing really had no flavor. It just tasted like water, capsicum, onion and sometimes paneer but all separately. It just didn’t go together. I was extremely disappointed because after having the aloo chole tikki, I had insanely high expectations. I usually finish my meal no matter how bad it is but this just wasn’t worth it. It tasted like water and the texture was bad that I couldn’t bring myself to eat the whole thing. The naan was fine. It was like any other garlic naan. Rasmalai tastes alright as well. I’m just sad that my actual dinner didn’t taste good and everything else did. This would be my GO TO restaurant if it weren’t for the bad kadai paneer. I wouldn’t order from this place again. Maybe go in person to have aloo chole tikki but it’s not worth with all the delivery fee and tip charges to have...

LADIES BE WARNED!!!

This is extremely upsetting…I used to LOVE this place. Discovered them during my time in college and ever since I’ve been ordering from them for a while now. Never had an issue until recently. My boyfriend and I decided to do takeout - instantly started craving their chicken tikka dish so we placed an order of that and their Curry + garlic naan. Delivery guy decided to text my number well after he had left for personal reasons which made me feel extremely uncomfortable (I took screenshots) and honestly, like I never want to order from them again! Truly unfortunate because this is one of the finest places in NY to get great Indian food. I’ve recommended them to so many friends who are also women, and now I feel like I have to warn them about possibly being harassed the next time they place an order. Just called this morning to report the incident - they told me the manager would be back in at 5pm so I will call again and hopefully correct my rating - I’ve read they are a “customer first” establishment in one of the reviews!

I simply don’t want other women to be made to feel uncomfortable when trying to order take out from this establishment. This behavior is unprofessional and drives away customers. Not to mention is a poor and in accurate representation on this place! If you are a woman, please be warned and also report...

The most amazing Indian food in Manhattan. Forget little India and go to Harlem for this delicious encounter. My husband and I love the intimate space, the cozy factor of the ambiance, the outstanding service, scrumptious meals, and great pricing! So much to love about this amazing restaurant. We discovered it about 3 weeks ago and have already become regulars; the staff knows our faces and our order! Not a single complaint or shortcoming at this place. Absolutely amazing work all around. If anyone leaves less than 5 stars they are delirious. Not to mention the same meal (of lesser quality) downtown is at least double (if not triple) the price.

Dishes not to miss: -chicken tikka salad (the mango mayo dressing is TO DIE FOR and there’s actually a good serving of chicken in there!) -chicken korma (perfect balance of sweet and savory) -gulab jamun (most amazing soft sweet warm...
