La Sienna — Hotel in New York

I don’t write a lot of reviews but I just read a negative review which mentions having problems with the host . I feel I must respond . I found Yvette to be a fantastic host . She is quite particular about the rules of the establishment . She is no nonsense and I think it’s fair to say that most people would even find her strict . In my opinion these are not negative qualities in someone running a guest house . The rules are for everyone’s comfort and security and non are unreasonable . I certainly appreciated Yvette running a very tight ship as the environment was very safe & orderly. I found her to be helpful and cordial at all times . I knew within 5 minutes of meeting Yvette that no one was going to be getting away with anything at La Sienna . I liked her immediately ! As far as the property itself goes I think my headline says it all . I have spent years traveling to and even living in New York off and on . I have stayed in too many hostels and budget hotels to count. You’d be hard-pressed to find a better situation in the city in my opinion. This is a beautiful old brownstone in a lovely neighborhood with easy public transportation access to the entire city. And of course the price cannot be beat. It's a truly amazing place. I haven't seen such good accommodation in NYC for a similar price. Very close to the subway station at 125th Street. At this price, it's hard to find a capsule hostel in the Central Park area, let alone a private room. The facility has specific rules, but they are there to make everyone feel comfortable and allow them to relax after a day in this noisy city. ||According to my plan, I was supposed to be at the facility at midnight, but in the end, my flight was delayed and I didn't check in until 2 a.m. The owner acted as if it was my fault, but I don't hold it against her because it was the middle of the night and we all wanted to sleep.||You won't find better accommodation for this price, so if you're planning a budget trip, choose this place. There's no point in overpaying for expensive hotels when you can get exactly the same thing here at a much lower price. The shared bathroom is not a problem, as it was always free when I needed it.||It's an amazing place and the owner is very nice. I know that on my next visit to NYC I will definitely come back here, and I hope it will be soon. I can't imagine staying anywhere else. I will recommend this place to all my friends who are...
