White Castle — Restaurant in New York

April 2022 UPDATE: after being closed for remodeling - White Castle opened their renovated restaurant mid April. It no longer looks ghettofabulous. It actually looks pretty nice - bright and relatively clean from previous visits. Some notable changes were made:

1- high tables were extended and shifted to make more room for standing and eating (should you choose to 'dine-in'). Outlets were also added so you can charge your device while you eat

2 - the seated dining room has been closed off. I believe it is now a private event room (or perhaps storage)

3 - the customer bathrooms have been eliminated. There is NO BATHROOM for customers.

4 - the plexiglass wall separating where orders are taken and food prepared has been removed. Its one open space now (that's what it feels like).

The staff taking orders were new - it appears that folks from before were not retained. We'll see if that's the case upon future visits. I hope the changes were not just cosmetic but improve the overall experience while getting your 'crave' on.

Delicious burgers and sides made to order but this location is GHETTOFABULOUS. Be ready to fend off panhandlers and other vagrants and AVOID the bathroom if you can. Only the women's room works and it's been that way for what seems like years.

Fast food at a slow pace need to pick up the pace and don't play favorites..especially when there's only 3 customers in the store ordering and waited the same length of time as I did, I waited for my food which was only 2 veggie sliders felt like I was going to pass out from hunger panes that's how long I've waited got my food looked in the bag...no napkins..had to ask the manager that served me..how do you forget to put napkins in the bag...customer before me got napkins w/o questioned or hesitation...why?...cuz I'm a woman or cuz I wasn't to your liking enough..which doesn't matter anyway..customer service is customer service regardless color, race or creed the manager was very unprofessional besides the fact he was giving out FAKE common courtesy so I didn't expect any more than REAL common courtesy from a manager that's doesn't have any..first and last time I ever step foot back in that fast food restaurant again...you won't catch me twice...EVER!!!..😡..SHAME ON YOU!!!..why?...cuz I work for customer service foodservice industry Aramark LLC. You are so lucky that I wasn't the Dept of Health and Mental Hygiene...for future reference CHANG YOUR GLOVES WHEN DEALING WITH FOOD AND EXCHANGING MONEY...CHANGE YOUR GLOVES MAN..🤢🤮😤😱🤒🤒🤒...Thanks...But No Thanks!!!..from a very unsatisfied...

Me and my friends arrived to this White Castle at 4:12/15 am on Sunday morning. A few of us live in the neighborhood so we are aware that it is open 24 hours daily. We was extremely hungry so depended on white castles because of the hours of operation. As we arrived to the door of this establishment we saw about 6 customers inside and a few food delivery workers. We noticed the doors were locked which we found unusual for a 24 hour location. As we pulled on the door we saw 2 White Castle employees from behind the register counter do a motion (swipe neck with hand motion) to say they are closed. A delivery worker came out we went in and questioned the employees why were they closed they couldn't give us a direct reasonable answer. I told them it says it's 24hours on google for this location and you are always open. He then said we close at 4:30am. We left the location upset because I've never experienced this issue before with that location. As I looked at my watch I noticed it wasn't even 4:30am yet but 4:15am and he denied to take our order/prepare our food. If this location isn't 24 hours White Castle should have correct hours of operations listed on google, their doors and more. Such a disappointment in location...
