Do Not Waste Your Time Here.
I interviewed with them April 10, 2024. They were recruiting for non CDL and CDL drivers, equipment packers, flight coordinators and assistant meat cutters. I went to interview for the non CDL driving position.
First, it was not hard to arrive at the building in Springfield, NY, 11413. I was a bit confused since there was an orientation line that I stood on for a while before being told where the interview area was. That wasn't too bad just super nerve wracking.
My interview started at 10am but I got there an hour earlier just to be safe. I sat in the waiting area with about 30 other people for an hour and 18 minutes past 10am. The recruiter came out and finally handed us the sign-in sheet which should've been out for us to sign way before hand. Unprofessional. Then they told everyone that in order to apply for a job with them, the candidate had to fill out an online application. Most of us had come to the interview through thrid party companies such as Workforce 1 and they had not told the thrid party representatives about this major sticking point. Then they started the group interviews.
They interviewed candidates four at a time. When they asked what position everyone was applying for, I told them that I was there for the non CDL position. The senior hiring manager told me that I had to have experience driving a box truck. Another point that they failed to communicate to the Workforce 1 representatives. It was an exhausting process and on top of that, there were some candidates that didn't speak or write in English so that slowed down the interviewing process. Like I had said before had they set out three or two sign-in sheets, one for English and one for Spanish/Creole, ahead of time there wouldn't have been too many problems.
They were absolutely unprofessional and out right awful. They clearly don't care about a potential employees time, wixh means they don't care aboir their cutrent employees either. I didn't get a chance to interview with them and I'm glad I didn't. Make sure to read the reviews for the companies you're looking...
Read moreWas a very bad experience!!!!!! I worked for DO&CO they do not treat the workers with respect. One of my colleagues literally got threaten by the Manager.....the poor guy was eating icecream and the manager went bonkers on him saying he's going to fire him on the spot for eating icecream!!!!!!!!! This got me really mad. Then they have a very racist woman as dispatch she is the worst human being I ever met. My first week working there she called me into the office and told me if I know that all new workers first paycheck she needs to get a percentage of it.....I didn't know what to do so I laughed it off and walked out the office I felt harrassed. HR is not professional she does not want to listen to the complaints she picks sides. I have seen other workers steal property and when I try to bring these situations up they dont want to listen to us they change the subject and try to put blame on us saying we dont know how to do our job. They never trained me they hired me and put me out there and I should figure it out. The food is trash that's one thing I'll tell u now . DO&Co is not it man. Thank god other dispatcher talked to me and helped me get a new job at...
Read moreTalk about a suspect hiring process! I Put in an application & my resume for a salaried sous chef position and was contacted to do a screening interview by phone. But FIRST I had to sign an arbitration waiver which waives my rights(if hired) to file a lawsuit against the company in the future if it came down to that (I now found out this location just settled a Lawsuit for 450k). This was the first red flag. I did a 30 minute interview by phone and a couple of days later I was invited for an in-person interview. But first I was told if hired I would have to work a "2 day trial" to see if they like me, another red flag. I submitted an impressive resume and had tons of references if needed, why would I waste time doing the job as an "audition"? It's also weird practice for a company of this size to do this for a salaried position. Then their secretary sent me the wrong date and time for the interview and a screenshot of someone else's information for their interview (our names aren't even close). I already had an offer from another company for less money so I decided to take that job to avoid a...
