Delicious Tacos in Flushing, NYC: Instant Mexico Experience 🌮

I recently had the pleasure of dining at El Ranchero, a charming and intimate Mexican restaurant tucked away in the local neighborhood. This delightful little gem instantly transported me to a family kitchen in Mexico, with the aroma of authentic Mexican spices filling the air and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The culinary journey began with complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was a delightful surprise, sweet and chunky, that had me asking for seconds. The menu offered a variety of traditional Mexican dishes, but the standout stars were undoubtedly the Birria Tacos and Carne Asada Tortas. The Birria Tacos were a flavor explosion in every bite. The meat boasted an incredibly grilled flavor and was deliciously tender. The dish was served with a rich and flavorful jou that was perfect for dipping, elevating the taste to a whole new level. The tacos were served on double toasted tortillas, a detail that didn't go unnoticed, adding a delightful crunch to each bite. The Carne Asada Tortas were another highlight. The texture was an absolute delight, a perfect mix of chewy bread, crunchy vegetables, and tender, perfectly cooked steak. The seasoning on the steak was spot on, enhancing its natural flavors. What truly set this dish apart was the addition of pickled jalapenos. They provided a necessary acidity that cut through the richness of the steak and bread, creating a perfect balance of flavors. Furthermore, dipping the torta in the birria jus added an extra dimension of flavor, making the dish even more enjoyable. Other notable mentions include the Camaron Taco and Al Pastor Taco. The shrimp in the Camaron Taco was cooked to perfection and the balance of flavors was impressive. The Al Pastor Taco, too, was a delight, with the grilled carne asada adding a wonderful depth of flavor. In conclusion, El Ranchero offers a standout dining experience. The quality of food and the attention to detail in every dish was impressive. If you're looking for a place to enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine, I highly recommend El Ranchero. Don't miss the chance to try the Birria Tacos and Carne Asada Tortas, they're truly a culinary delight.

The chips with guacamole is absolutely delicious! The chip has the perfect consistency and flavor, it's not greasy or salty it's perfect. The tacos are big and delicious, they come with the meat you'd like and cilantro, onions and guacamole. The steak is seasoned very well and the grilled chicken is amazing. The agua de Jamaica are great, it's not overpowering or super sweet it's just right. I'm hooked on this food and have ordered consistently. It's semi pricy with $4.50 per taco but you're getting your money's worth. The taco is full of meat and it's just delicious. Glad there's a Mexican restaurant around the area now.

The portions of food served were generous, but unfortunately, they lacked in flavor. We had high hopes for an authentic taste experience, but we were left disappointed. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and provided good service.

One aspect that left us disappointed was the failure to mention the credit card processing fees upfront. It was disheartening to discover an additional fee added to the total bill. Considering the quality of the food, we felt that the overall cost was not justified.

Regrettably, the lack of taste combined with the unexpected additional fee made the dining experience...
