European Gourmet & Deli — Restaurant in New York

Very happy to have Ukrainian store nearby, was worried we won’t since we just moved at the beginning of 2023 from Ridgewood, where there’s plenty of Ukrainian and Polish stores. Food here is always fresh and delicious, very authentic Ukrainian, like my aunt used to cook (and my aunt is an excellent cook). When we just moved and were finishing renovations we had no gas for approximately 2 months - we literally survived on food from here.

Imported foods are fresh as well, so fr as my experience goes.

This place has some very good imported canned fish. They sell some mushrooms in tomato sauce in a jar I like. I am able to buy manouri cheese here. I've bought some very good packaged tea here. Good products here one doesn't find normally in a non-ethnic supermarket. There are international foods here, largely from Eastern Europe. It is a Ukrainian owned establishment. They do charge I think 4% fee for credit card purchases though, so that is not too good. The atmosphere is quite desolate although it is just a small store lot. I...

Was their customer for a long time. Last time I bought pickles, that were not edible. Brought the jar with the receipt to exchange. I was yelled at by the owner Oksana, that I opened the jar (how else to know that food is not edible), that they don’t accept returns after 24 hours and that are American rules and I should just leave the place.
