Falafel Tarboosh — Restaurant in New York

I've come here 7 times in 2 weeks. So about every other day since I discovered this place. I'm that obsessed!

The reviews are right. I literally googled "Best Mediterranean food near me" and "Best Falafel near me." This place came up both times. I have had:

Chicken Shawarma on a wrap Meat Shawarma on a wrap Chicken/Meat combo on a wrap -Falafel on pita (with some yummy pickled items from the salad bar, added to it.) The soup - OMG THE SOUP. It was so good and so healing to my soul. I know it sounds cheesy, but I swear that soup is so good that it heals my aches and sadness. Lol! You MUST get it. Hummus (with chips) -Salad

Everything is worth its weight in gold. And the customer service is amazing. BOTH the young woman and the manager are amazing. Especially the manager - he is just SO sweet and patient and will encourage you to try things and give you a little sample of something you're unsure of....

After 30 days of travelling across America, I discovered the best food in the country to be at this little Middle Eastern gem in upper New York City. Back in Australia we have middle eastern spots and kebab stands everywhere so I'm accustomed to solid falafels. But I've never had better falafel anywhere in the world than Falafel Tarboosh. They were perfectly crispy on the outside and moist and soft on the inside, as well as being loaded with flavour. $50 got us two meals that stacked us up with enough leftovers to take home.

This used to be my favorite place for years. Great food and kind service. I use to order from them at least twice a week. I'm not sure what happened to them but getting delivery from them has become a nightmare. After not ordering from them for several months I decided to try my luck today hoping things we back to normal No such luck. The delivery driver dropped my food off "somewhere". He took a picture of it outside in the grass somewhere. I live in a co-op on the 5th floor. I cant reach the driver. No one picks up at the restaurant. I am giving them 3 stars only because it's hard for me to give my "former" favorite place less than that. Gotta...
