There are a lot of Hong Kong breakfast/bakery around Queens/Flushing area so to standout it really has to have some good tasty food and this place I would said it dose. This is my first time eating here and will definitely come back in the future. This place doesn’t have the fancy environment or waiter but it has the loyalty of its customer. I would recommend eating there because all the food come out nice and hot maybe too hot so be careful when you take the first bite. I love their French Toast that consisted peanut spread and the top with syrup and butter. Warning for those alleged to peanut. Then there is their Shrimp Wonton Soup and Spicy Beef Noodle Soup w/mei fun, which is a classic dishes. Both tasted great and a feeling of home. I also had to add that the spicy beef has a little taste of spicy hotpot base which make it more tasty as I am a fan of spicy hotpot. The last dish I had was the Shark Fin Soup which I didn’t finish but I was glad I didn’t because I added some mei fun and vinegar when I got home and it super tasty. On top of that it only cost around $25 and they have parking in the back of the restaurant which you can enter from...
Read moreThe salmon is usually very fresh. One time, we had a full plate of salmon where the salmon was bland. Very bland. We could not take another piece and we spoke to the manager on duty. The manager was understanding about it and gave us another plate. The new plate of salmon was colder and tastier. We were very pleased.
Yellowtail and white tuna are a hit or a missed so it's a gamble. The kitchen menu changes from time to time when they change chef. The sushi menu is consistent. Go for sashimi! Every time I come here with my sister, my sister and I make it a tradition to have at least two scoops of their ice cream. I'm in love with their green tea ice cream and she likes the red bean and green tea ice cream. (Vanilla is good too.) This might sound crazy, but we literally (or creatively) draw a bowl of ice cream with two or three circles on it representing the number of scoops and different letters representing the different flavors (G = Green Tea, R = Red bean, V = Vanilla) on the back of the menu to avoid confusion. Read moreSoul comfort food that reminds me of Hong Kong. Food itself doesn't really exceed your expectation, but very comforting and tasty for the soul and your taste buds. I like their combos.
I'm glad there is a spot in Flushing where I can go to reminiscence about my trip to Hong Kong. A friendly tip for all Milk Tea lovers, you need to ask for it to be sweetened, unless it is legit Milk+Tea.
You'll miss the breakfast after 1:30PM. But there are all day menus that still qualify for breakfast dishes, no worries!
I ordered: Iced milk tea - $2.50 (as I mentioned), it comes boba style, sealed with plastic with plastic straw Hi Tea Combo - $6.00 (with rice noodle for Beef Satay Noodle, you can have it with instant ramen too) Peanut butter & condensed milk toast - $2.25 (oh man, one order is NOT enough!!)
Overall, soul satisfying and...
