So, I'm always going here in the morning. I really like their whole wheat everything flat bagels toasted with olive and pimento cream cheese. I get their coffee large and black with no sugar. It's great every time. I get other things for others such as family, friends and coworkers and everyone likes what they get from here. The people are extremely nice and well spoken in the phone and the line moves fast in person. Their selection has all the usual favorites but don't look for rare bagel flavors some places have like fresh blueberry bagels or orange cranberry bagels. They do have a large variety of cream cheeses and have a fully stocked deli and refrigerated drinks. I like it and it's not crazy expensive either. Really good local spot for breakfast and lunch sandwiches, rolls and bagels. You can usually get parking right out front and there's never a meter maid to ticket you. There's always trucks and tractors trailers out front either parked or double parked. No big deal, there's always a spot or double parking to be done. The line moves fast inside and you can keep an eye on your vehicle. There's also plenty of legal parking in the lot behind the...
Read moreHave been seriously hesitant to post anything, because I have been to this place many times over the years, and believe in giving chances. However, I can no longer stay silent about this. My family members and I have often noticed that certain ingredients, such as cream cheese, are not fresh when served. Additionally, after ordering 2 sandwiches this past Friday, I have been horribly ill since consuming them. I am 29 weeks present and had to go to the hospital for food poisoning, and five days later, am still suffering. I hope whoever manages this place just keeps in mind that food quality control is extremely important, and it's more than just about making money. I never thought a breakfast sandwich would be so dangerous to my health, and future child's. It's just a shame. Please be more cautious with the...
Read moreI'd like to give this place more stars because the bagels were good and the service was prompt but unfortunately we had a bad experience there. Given the times we are in, a sign on the door says ' Facemask Required' but yet a customer before me could not be bothered to wear a mask. Not one of the 7+ employees there said anything to the unmasked customer while he ordered, waited in the store with other customers who were masked, or picked up his order (if he had a health issue he could've called in his order for curbside pickup). Slim's does not seem to be taking the pandemic health crisis seriously and therefore I can not recommend anyone to visit this business unless you work for the NYC/NYS...
