Food order: Hush puppies , shrimp and grits, and waiter choice on dessert- Cheese cake with blueberries 🫐

Hush puppies - the smell to delicious fluff balls of divine delights was to die for. They come big, and the smell just invite you to dig right into them, and the sauce 😏 made the puppies hush my mouth with flavor.

Shrimp N grits - it was my first time eating this, and at first, I was too sure how I was going to like it. I pop my cherry 🍒 on this because I was taking bite by bite and filling up quick on this. I love how everything ❤️ ♥️ 💗 came together. The grits, 🥚, the tomato sauce, the shrimp and cheese 🧀 made everything taste heavenly. 😋 I definitely think shrimp and grits will be one of my favorite dishes to eat.

Cheese cake with blueberries 🫐- the waiter (Tex-Roy) picked it for me, and he made an excellent choice because the cheese cake 🎂 seemed very fresh and melted in your mouth 😋. Funny note as I was eating this song Mi Cher amor was playing and I was in love ❤️ 😍 with this cheese cake as it was my one and only love. La la la and I definitely will be coming back.

Music 🎶 choice was very 90s, and I was happy to eat and listen to music as a 90s baby.

Our server was fantastic, our drink were fantastic. The food was just okay. I got the eggs, French toast and bacon. The French toast was very soggy. My boyfriend got the pumpkin waffle and chicken. The waffle was good, but not one we’d go back for. The chicken was cold and the breading was wet and not okay when it hit the table. We let the server know. My bf said he’d pay for it but won’t be eating the chicken. The server understood and took it away. Two minutes later they brought back the same chicken clearly microwaved. The boyfriend talked to the server (who looked confused to why it’s back) and it clearly was just microwaved, she said hold tight. The manager (who is Yosemite Sam from the Looney Toons in person) then came up and said rudely “I took it off your bill but we do not have a microwave understood”. Listen, you can tell reheated food. It wasn’t recook, and same chicken but now warmed. Not worth the price or mediocre food. Seemed like a great spot but very much missed so many marks. If you are okay with mediocre food and a rude manager, this is your spot. If we ever do go back, I do hope we get the same server, she was so nice and her drink suggestions...

Came as a party of 2 brunch reservation, but the person I came with missed his bus and was running late by approx 30 mins. While I understand not seating incomplete larger parties so big tables aren't hogged, I was refused service and was asked to stand in a corner until my friend came, even though I would have been served on the exact same table if I came alone.

Upon being seated, had fried chicken+pancakes and the blt+home fries. Food was pretty decent, with super fluffy pancakes being a big hit! The food was also super well presented and came out in a timely manner. Shout out to the awesome folks behind the counter here.

After being at our table for approx 75-90 mins (after waiting the initial 30 mins with our original table being given away), waitstaff came to ask us to leave as they wanted to seat new patrons. I pointed out that there were parties who had been there since opening who were also done with their meal. We were happy to order drinks to keep our seats but I suppose that's not good enough.
