Joe's Bakery — Restaurant in New York

I have been going to Joe's since it was Catalano's and since i was 10. Still the best cannolis!!! The problem i have is the last 2 years since it was sold. During the holiday rush days( eg. Christmas Eve) there is no organization and no pastries in the displays. I was there at 1pm Christmas Eve to order pastries and half the displays were empty. How do you order if you don't have anything to chois from? It took almost an hour to get in and out. The peopke were working hard but there was no rhythym. No organization. When Dominic and Vito owned it there was Never an empty display during these rushes!!! For a person who has been getting cakes made for 4 years for every event I ever had I was extremely disappointed when I was told a cake for 35 people would now be $400.00 because "product went up" I have been a loyal customer to the bakery. Each cake was nice for the price I was charged. I could not believe that they would try to over charge me!! A returning loyal customer! There is a lovely, versatile and charming employee named Daniella who is one of the most kindest individuals I have come across. She knows how to treat everyone with utmost respect and sincere affection, regardless of age or presentation. She is incredibly patient and everyone seems to know the cashiers as well as bakers, fostering a rare sense of community. When you meet individuals like her, it is easy to have an incentive to return and try more products.
