There’s famous and popular parks in NYC but this summer we’re planning to visit parks that are off the beaten path. If you love those kind of adventures then you came to the right place! Last weekend we spent the day visiting a brand new park with Chance (one our favorite things to do lately!) 📍Juniper Valley Park, is in QUEENS, NY One of Queens’s most beloved parks, Juniper Valley Park is an integral part of its Middle Village neighborhood. Locals spend time with old friends and neighbors while groups gather to take full advantage of the tennis, handball, and basketball courts. A shuffleboard court is much beloved by the area's older members, and the bocce courts are always busy, a legacy of the neighborhood's active Italian community. It’s a great place for a picnic and the breeze! Very well maintained and ranks 91 in vital park conditions. Newly renovated track field, playground, bocce court, roller hockey rink, adult fitness equipment and spray shower areas. Loop around the giant baseball field (2.25 laps/mile) in the center, accessible near 77th Street. Juniper Valley Park is a 55.247-acre public park with several dog areas Directions to Juniper Valley Park: 📍Juniper Blvd., Lutheran Ave., 71 St, Dry Harbor Rd, Queens, NY Subway M Train to Middle Village - Metropolitan Ave. Bus Q67 towards Middle Village Fresh Pond Rd 💟 FOLLOW for NYC Dog Friendly Adventures, Travel Tips, & Local Gems! 📤 SHARE this with a friend who loves to explore and travel with their dog 🛟 SAVE this for your next adventure with your dog! ✏️ COMMENT if you wanna see more NYC dog friendly content! #dogfriendlynyc #petfriendlynyc #thingstodoinnyc #nycparks #bringfido #summerinnyc

It could be Queens own little central park, but particularly for baseball, the upkeep of the fields is atrociously bad. The gentleman that works the baseball only field is a fine fellow that puts in the work, but that's more than a one man operation - it should be that is. These are some of the few dedicated baseball fields that we have in queens, where you dont have to worry about the insufferable soccer players moving in to ruin your game. And yet, these baseball fields loom like what the earth would be if humans became extinct. There are weeds growing in the infield dirt! No lines of chalk are ever present, though that's not necessarily necessary. And when it rains on Monday, you cant use those fields until Sunday at the earliest. They completely overhauled thentennis courts, the soccer field and track are amazing but baseball seems as a distant afterthought.

Large park with many sports fields, a turf soccer field, and a worn-out and bumpy running track around the soccer field. Relatively easy parking across the street at 5:30pm on a weekday Public restrooms in decent condition Stands for 100 people near soccer field Sandbox for wide jump Ice skating ring for the winter Several playground for different age groups with swings, climbing structures, slides, large trees, chess tables and lots of benches for parents The most important thing is that this park really feels like a neighborhood park resembling the different cultures and ethnicities in the immediate surrounding. It is a SHAME that New York City is wasting several hundred millions of dollars on ineffective mental health service for the homeless -a hobby of the current mayor's wife- while the city can not find $100,000 to repair this running track in a middle class neighborhood.

Best park ever! Middle Village's pride and joy! What's NOT to love about this park. No Drama..No World S☆rr BS here! My son play youth baseball and weve been coming here for years! Childhood memories your kids will never forget. Clean and upkept, bathrooms are left open later than usual for the public. Parks Department is Awsome! The track and field is also the centerpiece, people from all creed races and religions are grateful..I heard alot ot romantic connections happen here, so no need to go to church or the club to find that special someone ! 😍😁. Come on and come all. Enjoy this park to the fullest! But please curb your dogs and help keep this place clean! 😋😊😎

Just a friendly reminder to newcomers that the East end of the park is designated as a quiet zone. As of late people have been seen throwing parties, drinking and playing sports in the quiet area. I walk to the park all the time and the other day I came across broken glass from a beer bottle in the grass. This is dangerous for people who bring their dogs and toddlers to walk in the grass. Please help keep our park beautiful and our dogs and children safe by adhering to the posted rules. If you observe activities that are not in compliance you are encouraged to contact the community board and park association. Thank you.
