I don’t live giving reviews that lower the overall score, but I feel I have to be honest. I saw the 4.7 which is the same score as my favorite sandwich shop, however it’s not even close. I got the roast beef with bacon, cheddar and BBQ for $17. First off, it was half the size for the same price, so I thought okay it’s gotta be really be good then. But it was just average. No better than my local 24 hour bodega which is also much cheaper. There really wasn’t any flavor to the roast beef and I barely tasted the bacon. It should be very juicy and bursting with flavor. The bread was good so I fed a bunch of it to the pigeons. My boy got fried eggs and cheese on a buttered roll and he said our local bagel shop is way better. Maybe it was a bad day or maybe we ordered the wrong things. Maybe it was better years ago; I don’t know. *Edit: While we were waiting for the food we heard the sound of a microwave go off. I didn’t think for a second the guy would be microwaving our food (we were the only ones in there though), but we realized after based on the way the roast beef looked that there’s a good chance that’s what happened. I would give this place a 1 star if I was sure but maybe he was using it for something else. The sandwich sure looked and tasted microwaved. You can see from the pictures, which were taken within a couple of minutes of leaving. We ate at the benches across from the fire station.

Sometimes, the best plans are the ones you don’t make. That was exactly what happened yesterday when a leisurely stroll through Brooklyn took a spontaneous turn. A right instead of a left, and suddenly, my casual walk morphed into an unexpected food pilgrimage. No destination in mind, just letting the city guide my steps, I found myself standing outside John’s Deli—a true gem stocked with anything and everything you might crave. Stepping inside, I was greeted by the comforting sounds of Sunday football—though these days, Giants fans might not find much comfort in it. The counter was packed with premade delights that made my stomach rumble on sight. But the real draw? The sandwiches. Specifically, the Italian, a staple that never disappoints. This one was a masterpiece: layers of cured meats, sharp provolone, shredded lettuce, marinated peppers, and ripe tomatoes, all generously doused in oil and vinegar. It’s the kind of sandwich that reminds you why New York deli culture is iconic—no pretensions, just pure, unadulterated flavor that hits the mark every time. So, if you ever find yourself wandering without a plan, make your way to John’s. Trust me, you’ll be glad you did.

Yes there food is great. But they like that disrespect women.they disrespected my mother's dead brother. My uncle , they also have a couple employees with drugs problems . I recommend u go there but give the upmost respect because if u don't they might just disrespect your mother. 3 tough guys that's aren't thankful for a thing. There father blessed them with a business and they should be thankful for that. I am being the bigger person and not going in there bc if I do it may not end well. Disrespect my mother one more time that's all...
