The male park employees are cool; they keep busy, clean up the area, and leave people alone. Many female park employees here are on a total power trip, and yet they don’t seem to do anything productive. After dark all spring & summer, drunks and teenagers destroy the Parade Ground, leaving broken glass, bottle caps, trash, food scraps. After the kids’ sports teams leave all weekend, there’s trash everywhere. People literally dump trash out of their cars onto the sidewalk next to the Parade Ground, that’s how little they respect the neighborhood. There are not enough trash cans, but also the only motivation that the female park employees seem to have is to bark orders at people based on some arbitrary set of rules that are neither posted nor enforceable. Your adult dog sitting on a bench on a quiet weekday? Not OK. Wild kid popping wheelies on a moped on the astroturf on a very crowded summer afternoon? No problem! It’s a total double standard: some people are left to do whatever they want, while others are targeted. The workout area is usually pretty orderly, and the playground is big, but it is as much a human toilet as one for dogs with lazy owners, and in every other way, it’s not a pleasant place to hang out...

🏕🌳 This park is GREAT for NYC Summertime outdoor barbecues, birthday, retirement, graduation, and/or any celebration(s) - WEATHER PERMITTING‼️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ NOTE: . . . PARKING NEARBY IS EXTREMELY CROWDED & DIFFICULT❗️🚗 🚙 🛻

🏎 You'll either have to drive to this park SUPER EARLY IN THE MORNING - OR - $pend LOT$ of MONEY for a nearby Parking Garage - OR - park far away from the park, after driving around for awhile l👀king for a legal parking spot until you get lucky enough to find another driver pulling out of a parking space!!!

🦟 🪰🪳 Spray LOTS of INSECT REPELLENT on yourself and on your family/friends. Otherwise, you & your family/friends will get SEVERAL MOSQUITO BITES ALL OVER YOUR LEGS, ARMS, NECK, ETC‼️

Bring LOTS of garbage bags and clear recycle bags. Make sure your area of the park is NOT littered on or you could receive a HUGE FINE from the NYC Parks...

Great park to come to if you want to play soccer, football, basketball, tennis, baseball or even volleyball. It has its own football field, soccer field, two baseball fields, and tennis courts. It's right across from the prospect park, so if you want to explore more, just cross the street. The only issue I have with this park is the permits that are carried out, so you can't use the fields during weekdays from 3-6 pm, including the weekends. I think there should be a limit on how many fields can be taken up by the permit holders for each day. Other than that, this is an excellent park to come visit if you want to do some...

This was for the NYPD annual national night out which happens through out the city all on the same day where the police does a little bbq for the community and play music give free stuff for the kids and other participants such as Emblem health, BKlyn DA office give free stuff nothing too crazy and the police. Exhibit some specialized units like mounting, which are the cops that ride on horses, Crime scene to show you how they collect and process crime scenes, and some public officials and the Mayor made an appearance too.

Great location for baseball games in the city, which is rare because of the lack of space, meaning most games are played in NJ or upstate NY. Commercial area nearby, meaning food and transportation is easily accessible near Parade Ground. Only problem is that the fields tend to be mediocrely maintained, and can cause some issues when playing.

Holy moly, what a park! I think I counted three waterfalls? And they have free concerts in the summer. It's the last natural forest in Brooklyn so you're actually in nature not just some astroturf (unless you're at the Parade Grounds soccer fields) all in all is awesome and before I forget all the great photos you'll take!
