Today was supposed to the greatest day celebrating my baby shower. I’m 9 months pregnant and I had made reservations with the Gm Carlos over the phone with text messages asking from beginning how much for the brunch Sunday per person for a party of 20-25 ppl so I know how much I’m paying with no surprises he text me back 16.33 per person I text great no problem. Make a long story short after the matter the bill comes and I had only 16people including a 1 child menu they gave me a bill for 836.00 I’m looking at the bill like this is wrong! I went to Carlos and said this is not what we agreed the. He changed his story that 16.33 was for a deposit per person. I said look at your and mine text you said 16.33 per person where does it say for deposit only no where. I’m pregnant getting stressed and he lied in my face saying we can go back and forth this is what it is basically he scammed me! Going to take him to court as they gave a habit of scamming people I just found out they did the same to somebody else and got sued on people court !
Thank you for replying William Padilla but on my text to Your GM Carlos which I have on my phone asking him how much in total per person so there is no surprises he text me back 16.33 per person nothing saying for a deposit, Because if it was more money I wouldn’t of Booked my reservation there it was clear on text message! You don’t go to a Resturant and you ask the price and the receipt says something else. You can not say 16.33 if that was not the price Than not to mention I have been communicating with Carlos to make a payment cause calculating 25 ppl for 16.33 I told him I pay in full he kept telling me he was not in office he was in meetings yadda yadda yadda . Than Friday before the party he said that he had no spot for me now he will call me back now Saturday comes he said let me see what I can do and I was nervous I wasn’t gonna have my spot and had to start telling my guest was making a change of plans because your Gm lack of confidence told me to wait til after 10pm like this is really not acceptable! Another thing my cake wasn’t even cut yet to give out and the waiters had ask my guest to get up from the table so they can clean up, your staff didn’t get to cut my cake and they were making my guest leave like this is not acceptable at all ! Not to mention I have done several bday parties there and brought a lot of my friends and family here and this is how I get treated. I had text Carlos to get my money back or I will go to court and get my money back. If your saying it’s a miscommunication than it’s a miscommunication on your staff I shouldn’t of be humiliated in front of my guest to pay the bill that was not what we agreed. You take the money out of your managers paycheck I shouldn’t have to pay the bill for his miscommunication. I will be showing the judge my phone with the messages between me and Carlos ! This place used to be a top notched place and it is going done hill! Oh and another If it was for a deposit I would of had to pay that in advance before the party which didn’t happen because you know there was no miscommunication and if that was miscommunication they should have done something . I am sorry does not fix it your not making this right by saying sorry I want to get back the money I had to pay for your Gm...
Read moreMy daughters and I picked this place for the ambiance we experienced for my moms birthday. We visited here again on 10/26/24 on a Saturday to have dinner for my daughter's birthday with a few friends and family. The all red ambiance I craved was set up beautifully for Halloween. Shout out to Irene the host for accommodating us last minute at a busy time 7pm and to our server Gabriel for taking care of our needs there was another young lady at the door that showed us great hospitality and the young lady at the bar did not disappoint. The atmosphere was mellow well lit and they were playing good latin music and the Yankee Game on the Big screen TV, if you know you know. It was full but not crowded for a Saturday night. We sat at the Bar and had some drinks before moving on to our table as our guest began to arrive as well as other patrons for the business. The tres leche coquito was amazing. I tasted the Passion fruit Henny Colada But the Henny Colada always a fave. Our appetizer chicharon de pollo ordered at the bar was a little delayed and we ordered from an early bird special for $19.95 at the table which include a house salad or soup. We thought that was a deal and decided to order from that menu. Welp that was not a good choice as it was not its best quality food they serve there. We saw other steaks from the more expensive menu come out on the cast iron fryers still hot and sizzling. The pork chops were pale and tough and the rice and guandules was tasting like to much tomato sauce was used. Not to mention there was a slight 1hr delay in us being served our food and yet another appetizer was delayed. They said they wanted to bring it all out when we were seated at the same time. I guess we sent mixed messages as some of us kept going outside to the outdoor seating area. The salad and soup were very good. They don't allow outside bottles and the do provide bottle service. In the end you pay for the Birthday slice of Tre Leches Cake $7-8 a slice and they sing Happy Birthday. There is photographer on site that takes really nice pictures and a nice Halloween wall for pictures at $20 ea. Although it was a little on the pricey side I regret not ordering food from the more expensive menu as I have before and it was great. I recommend the Mama Juana sushi with pollo and chicharon and sweet plantain amazing. Overall they were very attentive to my table and we enjoyed our night. My daughter was happy and thats all...
Read moreThis place has been THE worst restaurant I have ever been to!
They sat us next to the DJ station and we couldn't even talk because the speakers were literally right next to us blasting the music. The waitresses kept bringing the DJ drinks and since our table was so close, their hair and asses were pretty much in our table. This made our party feel extremely uncomfortable.
The server came after 23 minutes (yes, I was counting).
When we requested a different table, they pretended to not understand English, then when I spoke in Spanish they pretended to have trouble hearing me because of the loud music.
I ordered a signature appetizer that they have called "Platano Relleno" - which (I assumed) was a sweet plantain stuffed with beef since there was no description on the menu. When I asked the server if it was indeed stuffed with beef, they (again) had trouble hearing me and just said "yea yea" as if they we brushing me off. When it came out- to my surprise, it was actually stuffed with Bacalao (Cod Fish) This wouldn't have been an issue if I knew they were coming out with cod fish instead of beef. However, my husband is extremely allergic to fish and is extremely sensitive to cross contamination through silverware or plates and he quickly reacts. We weren't expecting this so it was a bit frustrating to say the least. My husband didn't want to make a big deal out of it so one of our friends just took it to go. Since we decided to have a late dinner (it was 9:30) and they took forever with our order. By the time we were eating, they told us to please get up from our seats as they were preparing to transition from restaurant to lounge, and they needed to remove all tables and chairs. When we told them that we were not finished and they took too long with our order, they (again) pretended to have trouble listening to us and eventually told us that we can stay in our table if we purchase a hookah for $30 or we can go and finish our meal in the bar. We took a look to the bar and saw that there was absolutely no room to sit or stand, and we were not going to buy a hookah, so we decided to leave.
We asked for the check and saw the food was incredibly overpriced for their small portions and we couldn't even finish it. This place was the biggest disappointment ever!
I will give them 1 star only because I cannot give 0.5 stars which is what...
