So I'm going to say it! We have to stop listening to the IG and tiktok girlies because everytime I see them post a new place especially a black owned establishment me and my friends want to go and support and it NEVERRR works out in our favor! (I'm thinking they get special treatment).... Now I will say this, the waiter was a young guy who probably just started there because when we asked something he had to go and ask or clarify with someone else but he was superrrr nice and gave great customer service meaning he did check in with us. Now we had a 6pm reservation for a party of 4. It was not busy in there. There were two bigger groups (maybe 6 and maybe 10) who were in there and eating or waiting for their food as we arrived and a group of four came after us. We shut the restaurant down .. that's how long it took for us to get our food! Almost two hours waiting for food and we all had the same thing! Thankfully we had snacks that we opened and we ate that! (We left there at 9:15pm) We all ordered the same thing, everyone in the group had the jollof pineapple rice, two had it with salmon and two had it with red snapper. (Thank goodness they had TV in there to keep me occupied) so we of course had seen the IG page that the food is supposed to come in the pineapple bowl so when they bring it to us on a plate no pineapple we were confused then one friend got pineapple rice with no pineapple in it but they did offer to bring her a side of pineapple so she could mix it in her rice (whattt). However someone came out and took the plate back and remade it so while we waited to entertain ourselves we took pictures. While we waited and took pictures an employee came in with a pineapple like why not just say you were out of pineapples and we would understand. They gave us a free sample drink she called it which was okay. Speaking of drinks don't expect to go there for liquor because they don't have it! They have wine and Prosecco and they make sangria and have virgin coladas but they were out of that and out of empanadas. Oh they did have a DJ and he payed good music so that was a plus. The chicken wings were good but some had feathers on them. The Calamri we had was very fishy smelling, the jollof rice was their version of it and it was okay but nothing to write home and come back for. Overall, we weren't thrilled or satisfied and we understand it's a rather new establishment but better communication and even someone like the manager coming to check in on us would have been nice and that never happened. So if you want to take pictures of pretty food and hear a dj then this is your place!

So I really wanted to like this place but I really didn’t. First let me say the decor is great. Beautiful even. Myself and two others sat and order at the same time. My food came out fairly quick. After 1hr. Of sitting their food still had not come out. Amaretto sour is supposed to have liquor in it right? Well while we sat we looked around and noticed NO liquor bottles at the bar. So now I’m like bro what are you drinking. So we looked on the menu a little more closely this time and well I’ll be a monkeys uncle no liquor just beer and wine. Maybe that’s an up north thing but when you see a bar usually that means liquor liquor right. Anyway back to the food. I got jerked chicken wings and they were good. I also ordered pepper soup w/fish, the menu give you options fish or goat. The soup came with goat. I eat pepper soup so I will eat either but don’t offer me options to give me what you want me to have. The suya was way pass over cooked more burnt than anything I tried to pick around in it but it was a No for me. My pineapple shrimp fried rice never made it to the table after complaining about time they said just 10 minutes more 20 minutes later I had a to go bag with the pineapple she fried rice. Now back to my friends order. So one ordered pineapple fried rice and also the Mac and cheese that’s in the appetizer portion of the menu. It says add jerk chicken. She ended up with a whole meal Mac and cheese with a jerked chicken leg quarter. Again not what we expected. So if she would have gotten Mac and cheese add lobster would she have ended up with a side of a whole lobster? Other friend order simply one order of lemon pepper wings. I had ginger ale for my drink. And 1friend had a sweet tea that taste way to lemony. 1 and 1/2 hours 185 bucks and some change later we got out this place. Ps. We paid separately and they added gratitude to each ticket. Cause they knew that service was not gonna get ANY tip. I don’t mind paying for my food but don’t sneak in the tip on an experience like this. And I’m thinking the pepper soup was really the Egusi soup but hey I eat it no hard feelings there. NO HARD LIQUOR

This was the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had in my life! I made a reservation to this restaurant on 2/29/24 for my birthday with my family, a party size of 9. The decor was nice. Upon arrival, we found out that they do not have a liquor license. That was the first issue. They never informed me via email or telephone when I spoke to a staff member of this issue. The second issue is that I had a reservation and the young lady had no idea of my reservation and the tables were not set up. The third issue was that they only had limited food selections, despite having a good variety of food on the menu. I was extremely upset about this because I only eat fish and it was not available to me. The same young lady was the hostess, waitress, and bartender. No manager was on site. No other employees were there. It took her at least 45 minutes to make our drinks. Mind you, we were the only ones in the restaurant. The drinks were absolutely horrible and she forgot to make my brother’s drink, which he then no longer wanted. As for the food, a total disappointment! My mom and I got fried rice. My mom was supposed to have it with shrimp. It never came out. The food wasn’t even hot. As for the rasta pasta, a complete joke! The pasta came out BLACK! They literally cooked the pasta and tossed it in jerk sauce, SMH! When that pasta came out, it was the last straw for us! Mind you, it was cold! At this point, we had already waited over an hour to get our food and my entire party still had not received their food. This experience was disastrous and it was not a good feeling to endure all of this on my birthday! We definitely left abruptly and unsatisfied! I would not dine here again!
