I was practically doing cartwheels when I heard that a new supermarket was popping up near my motherâs house. This meant no more driving across town to take her shopping. Who doesnât love a spot where you can grab a snack and not feel like youâre going off the beaten path? My first visit was delightfulâfully stocked shelves, a bakery that could make a cake lover swoon, and fresh fruits that looked like they just stepped out of a food magazine.
However, my second trip turned into a bit of a comedy of errors. Picture this: I saunter up to a register with half my cart loaded, feeling like a champion ready to check out, only to be greeted with a âSorry, Iâm closed!â from the cashier. Well, thatâs a plot twist I didnât see coming! I quickly pivoted to the next register, but lo and behold, she was ringing up the very next customer. I mean, really? I was practically doing the loading dance in front of her, and not a single âClosedâ sign in sight! Talk about a case of register rejection!
To top it all off, when I got home, I unwrapped the ground beef I had picked up, and letâs just say it was less âfarm-freshâ and more âmystery meat.â The smell? Letâs just say it had me questioning my life choices. It wasnât store-packaged, but a meat distributorâs handiwork, so Iâm trying to be fair here. Word to the wise: if itâs not packaged by the store, maybe steer clear unless youâre in the mood for a culinary adventure that involves sniff tests. Hereâs hoping my next visit is a little less...
Read moreThey had a good assortment of just about everything in a larger supermarket but with an easier walk (around the corner). It was clean and well stocked. The only reason it got 3 stars is because of their ice cream. I usually get the Yasso poppables, which are ping-pong sized balls of frozen yogurt in a chocolate shell that you can pop into your mouth. The bag of these and all the bags behind it felt like each poppable melted into each other and was refrozen so it was a huge clump of frozen yogurt/chocolate shell sitting on the bottom of the bag. I figured I'd go get another type of ice cream, so bought a box of choclate dipped strawberry bars. When I opened the box at home, they were melted and refrozen as well. The stick got lost inside the strawberry part, which was pretty messy for eating and enjoying purposes. Any icecream (or frozen food) should be frozen upon delivery and immediately transferred to a freezer in the store. I repeat - immediately! Do better with that part and you'll...
Read moreI want to here yesterday with my mother-in-law and to be honest with you I didn't like it. I asked one of the men that were stocking up for certain items and he had a real nasty attitude like he was annoyed. There's a manager that stands there where the cashier ladies are at and he's rude and cold. The ladies at the register were very nice. Now when it comes to the items.... extremely expensive they're overpricing everything. With that being said I'm not crazy about the supermarket and no I don't plan on coming back unless it's an emergency like milk. I like to feel welcomed when I go into a supermarket or any establishment for that matter. I don't feel welcome here I feel the coldness of the employees except for the cashier ladies who...
