Tldr: I ordered a total of 6 mini cakes, and 4 rainbow cookies. Only thing I found fresh was 2 rainbow cookies.

After reading the positive ratings I knew I had to come in. I ordered a box of the mini cakes. Red velvet, carrot, and strawberry shortcake, along with rainbow cookies.

Much to my dismay, the red velvet was dry and dense, as well as the carrot. The strawberry mini was slightly better but not by much. By this point I could tell the products must have been sitting a while. The confirmation of my suspicion was with the rainbow cookies. As when I ordered the young lady asked if I wanted regular or the St. Patrick's. I took both.

The regular was dense and dry moreso than even the mini cakes. But when I ate the St Patrick's version, it was soft and moist as it should be.

I'm sad I could not give the rating I know they probably deserve but it has to be based off my experience, which left a sour taste. If items are not fresh, either discount the items or at least let the customers know it might not be at it's peak. Not being transparent and selling stale good can lose you possible...

Ordered a cake for my sons baptism and the pictures I showed were way off from what I got. First two pictures are what I showed the owner. I said I wanted naked cake with a SLIGHT blue hint like in the picture and the drip in silver instead of gold with the white flowers. No cookies or cross.. my husband goes to pick up the cake 15 minutes before the pick up time and he said the girl at the counter looked confused as if there was no cake ready. She said “oh you’re early just give us a few minutes” which is why I think this cake was slapped together last minute. The second two pictures are what I received. Embarrassment. The cake is totally blue and the silver drip is all over and looks disgusting and was sooo thick I couldn’t cut through it. I had to take a large serrated knife and literally saw through it and the whole top was cracking. The only thing was that it tasted good but was so horrible to look at. First and last time at...

This is a wonderful little bakery that also delivers if you order through their website. I truly love the Jelly Ring cake personally, but their Strawberry Short Cake is also very good! The cake is fluffy and sweet enough to please without being so sweet that you might as well have Betty Crocker'd it. Chocolate Covered Pretzels are probably an extremely close second favorite. One time when we ordered cookies it came in a nice, reusable glass jar. Prices are reasonable for a once in a while special treat place, though they will be a bit pricey if you are looking for an "every day" breakfast or lunch place. Definitely worth a shot if you're looking to celebrate or indulge yourself! About the only recommendation I would make to the owner is to consider a separate menu of lower cost and more economical items that might attract the every day donut and...

I very proudly and highly recommend any one who enjoys exquisite tasting baked goods to visit Mark’s bake shoppe. Everything from going to the bakery, ordering online and the delivery service is a pleasure to do business with. We order our birthday cakes every year, this year will be the third year we will be ordering birthday cakes again. We are never disappointed from his service to the amazingly delicious baked goods from Mark’s! His coffee is so good too we never leave the bakery without a coffee! If you know and want good stuff Mark’s bake shoppe is the only place to go. I recently had a cookie tray delivered to a friend and she loved it. We are all excited to be picking up bunches of baked goods in a few days to bring in the new year with Mark’s amazing cakes cookies and more. If you want good bakery items this is the place to go.

I really wanted to love this place as there isn't many places on Staten Island that sells french cruller donuts. I was excited to see they had it on their menu so I ordered it along with 2 other donuts and some cake bites. The flavors of the donuts were good, much better than other non chain donut shows on the island but the dough itself was dense. The donut felt like it was confused on whether it was a yeast donut or cake donut. Crullers are suppose to be airy but this one was not. I would definitely recommending skipping the cake bites all together. they are too small and they tasted dry due to not having anything protecting it from dehydrating.
