Merrick Deli & Grill — Restaurant in New York

First off, ordered from this place from Uber eats, and an hour later it arrives (mind you it’s 10 minutes from my house), ignored how long the wait was, when opening the bag the order seemed correct. Not until the sandwiches were open. I ordered 2 bacon egg and cheese ( 1 roll 1 hero) AND 2 sausage egg and cheese ( 1 roll 1 hero). When opening the rolls everything seemed fine cheese bacon and egg But with the heroes BOTH: bacon egg and cheese and sausage egg and cheese didn’t have the cheese in the heroes! Very disappointed PLUS the sausage that it came in wasn’t even sausage I ordered beef sausage and they give me some time of chorizo thick sausage! In overall very long wait form such a close place , forgot the cheese on 2 of 4 sandwiches, AND was not even sausage in the first place! Like come on the sandwiches only contained 3 ingredients inside whats so hard about that! Please don’t waste your time here and if I could give 0...

Stopped in for something hot to eat on a cold morning and was not disappointed. I ordered one of their speciality sandwiches, and (despite it being just after 6AM with everyone else ordering breakfast food), they made it quickly and exactly like the menu described.

The place was clean, the staff was friendly. Prices were reasonable, although I wouldn't call them cheap. They have an excellent selection of drinks (alcohol as well), candy (gummies!), household supplies, newspapers etc.

Lastly, in response to the reviewer below who claims the food was too expensive and that they don't accept cards: my sandwich, ("The Buffey" which is two different meats with cheese on a foot-long hero) was $6.50, while most of their cold-cut heros are $5.99. They canceled my order without my consent but said that I was the one who called to cancel and that they had already started, while on my way to the store. As a result, I couldn't get my money back and was charged the 20 anyway because they lied. So once I got there, they said they canceled it because "it was too busy" but the store was empty when I got there 5 mins after I placed it, but truthfully, another employee told me that they canceled it so they could pray at the back.
