The food is scrumptious! They also have delicious juices and desserts! Edit (a little over a year later): The food is still amazing and delicious! I was blessed with the creamiest broccoli alfredo and mac n cheese in an uber eats order by one of the owners named Craig! Thank you sooo much! I couldn't put it down until it was all gone! I love telling people about ALK because it's a vegan haven and godsent and the food is always amazing! I bring my friends here to try the food and they're always surprised that it's vegan! Much love ALK! Edit: A Live Kitchen has changed since my previous reviews. The last time I was there they converted the nice restaurant into a mobile pick-up hub and doesn't have the bright atmosphere it used to. Although the food is good, it feels too overpriced now. They don't use the fettuccine noodles that I provided a picture of anymore, but these thinner ones instead. I haven't eaten there in a long time, but the banana pudding, oreo cake, and cauliflower wings were consistently good when I did. The fettuccine alfredo isn't the same and has been mostly disappointing, especially considering the price. I used to pay $18 for a mobile order, but now it's $27. And I would ask for extra sauce but wouldn't get it so just got tired of it and started making my own. If you want to eat there (because the food is still good), I'd recommend eating at the restaurant because it's more expensive to mobile order.

There is much to be said about “A Live Kitchen” that will want you to put your carnivores fangs away. This place is brand spanking new, sleek and shiny. With that my first meal here didn’t fumble at all. The decor is very inviting warm and earthy. On each table are tiny mini succulents delicately placed in tiny vases. Very charming touch. A small place for couples but can also accommodate the family troupe of 6 (a couple and their 4 bouncing girls) and still keep it together. I sat near the kitchen where my nose smelled everything coming out (and my eyes eating it all) where you can see the Exec. Chef Eka De La Cruz and staff bust out the meals. And my gosh you need to chain that Chef De La Cruz in that kitchen. Whatever he is doing in there with the tofu and guacamole I had from the Brunch menu I couldn’t get enough, but I did get full. In the back most part of the restaurant has a mini itty bitty stage and a bar that serves up fresh purée of predesigned or made to order drinks and smoothies. I had no room left in my tummy to partake but I shall return. I can’t wait to try “A Live Kitchen” dinner entrees and appetizers on my next visit.

oh.my.god. I dont know why this place didnt pop up on my radar sooner! this seems to be like a small family owned / black owned business. you can clearly see everyone is lovingly making your food fresh to order. aka there is a bit of a wait until your food comes out, but it is SO WORTH IT. I had the tuna melt and it was THE BEST chickpea-based sandwich I ever had. We got the cauliflower wings (jerk bbq) SO AMAZING, a beautiful cesar salad with a killer dressing that made me excited to eat salad again, after 7 years of veganism. the only "weak" thing for us was the empanada, but that's cuz my fiancé and I arent huge fans of whole wheat shells. we also got the cookies and cream cake and H0LYSH!T YOU GUYS it was so rich and decadent! we couldn't even finish it. staff is so friendly and the prices are actually quite low compared to a lot of other places. this food could easily match the hipster Brooklyn vegan joints that charge nearly twice as much. so leave bigger tips!!! I cannot WAIT to go back and keep trying more food!

Today 5/12/20 my wife ordered from A Live Kitchen Uber on eats. She got 3 orders of cauliflower wings and 2 turmeric drinks and one beyond burger entree. When the order was revived both turmeric drinks were not prepared correctly and the almond butter was not blended in. Chunks of almond butter was coming threw the straw sooo thick🤢 and one order of the cauliflower wings was missing. The total for this order was $85.00 - $10 for Uber. So with us paying so much money I was kind of upset and called them. A young lady picked up and went and got the manager and I spoke to him, he told me to come in and bring the drinks and he will replace the drinks and wings. So I got in my car and made my 15min drive there. So I get there and the girl behind the counter sees the drinks in my hand and and grabs them and walks towards the kitchen window by the front register where there’s another female employee and they’re both laughing and the female in the kitchen tells the one behind the counter “BOTTOMS UP” as she put the new drinks on the counter.. ok so now I’m furious and I asked her about that remark, I ask her what did she mean by bottoms up cause she was still in the kitchen. “Did you do anything to the drinks cause I bought them back?”she answered, no with an attitude and walked in the kitchen where all the other employees were. Mind you they were still cooking the cauliflower wings so I kept it cool and just waited, so now she comes out the kitchen with an attitude cause I questioned her about it. Now the wings are ready and she bagged it up for me. I said thank you and she totally ignored me and I repeated it again, “thank you” and she replied your welcome have a gd day fast and nasty.. so on my way out the manager came out the kitchen and I explained to him the entire situation with the “BOTTOMS UP” comment and I hope he took care of it cause I won’t EVER ORDER from there again and I took a lost on the food and drinks cause I threw them out on my way home. I was very disgusted by the way they took care of this situation .. Mind you they could of waited till I got there so they could have made the drinks in front of me but no.. and then the “BOTTOMS UP“ comment took the cake.. You don’t treat loyal customers like that or even say anything like that .. I wish I could speak to the owner of the establishment cause it’s nasty and embarrassing to have employees like this deal with certain situations the way they did with mine. NO PROFESSIONALISM AT ALL!!! P.S she didn’t have on a mask when I...

I had high hopes of giving this establishment a try. Oh boy was I wrong! As I proceeded to walk into the restaurant, I noticed a light skin male with a bald head sitting in the front passenger seat of a jeep parked in front of the restaurant. I only mention this fact because as I was walking near the entrance of the restaurant to enter, I noticed him look at me and he proceeded to follow me inside.

At that moment I did not think anything about that encounter, I even held the door open behind myself as I walked in so that he did not have to open the door.

As I walked to the counter to look at the menu and place my order, the same light skin African American male with a bald head and rough looking bread with a black tee that had the word RAW on it, had said hello to two young customers in the restaurant. Once again I did not think about that at all. It wasn't until I made my order and paid for my food that I noticed this same light skin male makes his way behind the counter and proceeded to leave back to the sliver jeep vehicle. It was at that moment that I thought that he either worked at this establishment or was friend's with the workers there. Either way I didn't think much about it. As I received my food from the young lady who I placed my order with, I noticed a brown swirl In my smoothie that I ordered. It seemed odd to me that I ordered a green smoothie with no indication of any ingredients that would leave a brown residue in my smoothie.

When I asked the young lady about the color in my smoothie, she stated that its from residue that is from the order she made previously. This answer had me confused and concerned because I have no idea what was made in that previous order. The same light skin male was behind the counter and stated that it was cinnamon??????

The experience was not what I needed or wanted to happen. I really had looked forward to supporting this business in this neighborhood, but sadly I can not. Being followed in by an employee was bad and...

I have returned to my vegan lifestyle and upon testing out several vegan restaurants I chose Alive Kitchen as my # 1 spot My first experience was excellent as the food very enjoyable The young lady at the counter for I am bad at remembering names is very pleasant and give great customer service My second experience was pleasing also but after returning four more times the cooks was different and they got my order mixed up but I returned again and again only to receive the same bad service which brings me to tonight 11/27 @ about 7 PM it took me over an hour to get my order part completed and the other order she had to remain them to make while I waited patiently and still had to go back in because of a missing request The chicken sandwich I couldn’t eat because they put some kind of red sauce on it which made it taste sweet and salty the 2 tomato slices was the size of pickle chips the soup was super spicy hot and prepared as if they took the lentils and blended them into mush the BLT had the missing item and all 3 sandwiches was sloppy made The cooks had bad attitudes and was unapologetic THEY CANNOT COOK My first and second visit again bad with names played music and his vibe was put into the food very pleasing and tasty I now make the decision tonight to give it a break because I spent much money there on every visit it is not cheap a range of $60 and some to $90 and some Two customers came while I was there and was complaining upon receiving there food I heard one of the cooks tell them I got you next time I was not afforded the same courtesy I guess it was a man to man thing The food had to go to the garbage I will not be returning for a while and ordering only if I see the good vibe cook as stated above I did not want to write this review but 3 times too many I have to although I would have loved to speak to the...
