My 3 Sons Diner — Restaurant in New York

This is a neighborhood place, very friendly with food you don't mind buying. My friend lives across the street, she gets takeout here often. They have a large menu, diner style, something for everyone. They are on Grub Hub and they deliver. My friend put in the order, and it was ready and waiting for me when I arrived at the appointed time. My wife got a Munchie 'creation.' It was a sizeable roast beef sandwich, on a fresh baguette, and she asked for rare and got it. She was quite pleased with her order. She also ordered curly fries, they were crisp and tasty. I got a lunch special signature chicken kabob with secret lemon sauce. It said it came with Greek salad and pita bread. I guess the few chunks of feta, two olives, and sprinkle of oregano qualified as a Greek salad; the chicken was tender but subtle in flavor and the lemon sauce was barely noticeable even though they supplied about a watery half cup of it. It was served with rice which was cooked right but didn't have enough flavor...

My family went to the original location for My 3 sons for years. It's great to see them continue after the pandemic hurt the community and small businesses. This spot is for locals, running into old friends, chatting over coffee - and just has that friendly low key unpretentious just chill as hell vibe. I came recently with my parents to catch up, reminisce and maybe a little bit of gossip. The service was great with a lot is same staff and familiar faces. The lunch special is an amazing deal. We also at the end shared some rice pudding which is home made. And has a chewier texture which I prefer, I don't like my rice pudding too soft.
