Noni's Coffee and Deli — Restaurant in New York

I think if it weren't for the very pushy and annoying Mexican woman named Ruth who may or may not be the owner, the place would be OK. But if you expect to go and eat in peace, forget it! Ruth never shuts up! She is loud and intrusive and loves to scold her employees in front of customers. Outside of ringing up the money, she has no business aplomb. I will leave a tip when deserved, but when I go into Noni's Ruth is yaking and ignores me. I sit and wait for service until she deems to come and take the order. Sometimes, you have to remind her for silverware and to deliver the rest of what you ordered. Maybe if she shut up she could focus. She interrogates, demanding to know when a customer is going to return. I've never seen the likes of how invasive this woman is. She told me off loudly in front of customers after I paid the bill demanding to know why I hadn't left a tip every time I am served. I had not left a tip that time (after all, she isn't the waitress, she is management) and again keeps me waiting far too long. Waiters seems to come and go so fast there is only Ruth. Sometimes if Ruth takes the order, she doesn't always bring what I said in the order. Also, a tip is a gratuity given at the discretion of the customer. It is not a given. I also notice that you have to make sure you look at the price of what you are ordering because she adds to it. Ruth drives the customer away while complaining loudly to whomever listens that business is bad. Duh, Ruth! Maybe you should shut...

Small place food is good, but I had to have a chat with the last who works there because I used to go every Sunday.. order the same thing for my daughter and myself. And it was always a different price and very expensive..the menus very confusing.. $35 for 1 Adult and child.. crazy.. when i go now she started to be more mindful of how much #s she adding to the calculator.. I'm not the one.. be consistent with your customers and your prices nobody wants to go to the same place eat and the same thing and it's always a different price and I noticed when I look at other people's Tab and I look at their table they had way more on their damn table and paid less than I did of course I complained, it's like the only place I can go in Riverdale to eat a decent breakfast.. there is a bagel shop up the block.. with food that is way more cheaper, but no where to sit. Also Side note.. this lady always hires these nice African lady's to work as waitresses to help, seen 2 so far, and the boss lady is always nasty to them I know she's training them, but it's not nice customers don't want to see you yelling at your Workers early...

I have read almost all the negative comments on this post, and I completely agree with all of them. The owner of this place is an extremely rude and inconsiderate person. She spends most of her time yelling at her employees in front of customers, which creates a very uncomfortable atmosphere. She also has a hostile attitude toward the people who come to buy. When you place an order, instead of writing it down properly, preparing it correctly, and bringing what you actually asked for, she brings you the wrong food and gets upset if you tell her she made a mistake.

On top of that, she wears a white boot that now looks yellow or gray. She is unclean in her personal appearance and also unhygienic when serving food. She does not even wash her hands. I have no idea how this restaurant is still open. The kitchen area is full of grease and mold. The restaurant is almost never full, and yet the service is still terrible.

I do not recommend this place at all. Eating here is the same as throwing your money...
