This location is smaller than the other one on 94th st. There are about 9 tables. We sat and out of the 3 ladies that were there and seemed to be the waitresses not one greeted us or gave us a menu. We saw them walking past us not really doing much and still they didn't acknowledged us until we waved at one of them. She gave us the menu and we had to wave at her again because it had been past 10 minutes and she still hadn't taken our order. I figured since this was the second location the food was going to taste the same so I ordered what I had went there for in the first place. I got 2 tacos de suadero and 1 taco de chivo. I got chicken fingers for my little one. When I tried the tacos de suadero I noticed that they didn't taste the same as the other location. The salsas were also different from the other location from what I remember. Definitely not worth it to drive all the way to Queens. I still ate the tacos though, I tried the taco de chivo last and it made me so nauseous. Just by looking at the meat you can see it was old. It looked dark brown and dry. I told my husband to try it and he agreed it was gross. He told the waitress the meat might not be good anymore and she said she will tell the cook. I didn't ate that taco obviously. Also, the chicken fingers looked more like chicken chunks. Harder to eat for a little kid. Another annoying thing from the customer service was asking for my little one's drink in a plastic cup to avoid spills obviously and the waitress brings the drink in a plastic cup but with no lid. Like come on you would think it would be common sense to also put a lid but of course we had to wave again to get a lid. At the end the waitress was acting extra nice helping us put away my little one's food that she barely ate. Price was pretty reasonable. We payed $50 for 3 orders and 3 drinks. But we will not be coming here again. I do...
Read morethere are two locations with the same name, i highly recommend the location on 94th. i accidentally called the wrong place to order, i am a loyal customer to the 94th location, upon me getting there the lady suggested i might’ve called the 97th location (the location i am reviewing) . i went to pick up my cemitas (which i love) here i was joking “what if this spot is better”.... boy was i WRONG! The bun was stiff and they definitely did not make it with love. Perhaps the chef hates his job and boy could i taste it. Even the papalo that they used tasted withered.. surely it hated being an ingredient there.. They only gave me one miserable piece of tomato for a whole roll... AND DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE CHICKEN CEMITA MY BOYFRIEND ORDERED... Anyways, TRY THE 94th spot, stay away from the 97th!
P.S if i could give this location 0...
Read moreIm not gonna lie, this food is great. The only issue I have is customer service.. everytime I call in to order I say what I don't want on my food. And within this last few months, I keep getting the opposite of what I order. They lady's that pick up the phone have to learn to hear what is ordered... they make me waste time again returning the incorrect food and waiting another 20 minutes to get my correct order.. Aparte from this issue.. when I return and get what I actually ordered, the food is good.
UPDATE: After a year from this post, the same thing keeps happening, food taste good, but when it's done, how I ask. Customer service or the ladies that work there need to fix...
