Don Alex — Restaurant in New York

The food its not that bad. I really like their chicken and some of the typical plates they offer. Something that really pisses me off if how the waitresses always round the amount due when you are going to make a payment in togo orders to keep it for their tips. Tips are not mandatory not even in togo orders, why lie about the amount due and round it to the nearest ten to keep the change? It's not a big deal but I think it's not right, and their excuse? Oh we don't have coins? Who the he'll in the world have a business and do not have change ALL THE TIME? just awful..... always ask for a receipt, seems like this is a routine all the time to lie about the amount due...

My husband ordered a large order of rice, one order of French fries, and chicken. We received a small order of rice instead, although we paid for a large order. We called back the restaurant, and they said they would send us the correct order. When the delivery came, they asked for extra money, which we denied since we had already paid for the order. The next time we tried to order, they told us we still owed them money from the previous delivery. They try to charge extra money even though we have paid before, and they were the ones who got our order wrong. Terrible service and...

I usually love Don Alex and I have no problems with their food since it’s always good. I went there last week and ordered in the restaurant. I was told the food will be ready in 10-15 minutes. Everyone else got their food before me. I waited 45 minutes and the servers, waitress, etc. never apologized. It was a very small order meanwhile everyone had Atleast 2-3 different combos and orders. The waitress also recorded everyone’s name except mine so I’m pretty sure my order was...
