Canât go wrong with the food, every bite is filled with favor. This is one of my usual spots for Mexican food in the area. The only reason for my one star rating is for todayâs experience. I came by on two days ago and ordered âtres taquitos de carnitas, sin cebolla, sin picanteâ and got a delicious order of three small tacos. I came by again because they were so good, wouldnât hurt to go twice. I ordered the same thing with the same waitress that served me on Monday. Another waitress in a ponytail come with our food and brings me three regular sized tacos. I understand that there may be a confusion with âtacosâ and âtaquitosâ and I politely tell her âsorry but I ordered taquitos not tacosâ and she corrects me and says âno you ordered three tacos de carnitasâ and once again and say, âsorry but not there must be a confusion because I ordered the small onesâ. The waitress insists that I am wrong and do not know what I ordered. At that point she started coming off as disrespectful so I had no other choice than to come at her with the same tone. She explains to me that if I ordered, and she quotes me, âtres taquitosâ I wouldâve gotten a total of 9 small tacos because an order of taquitos comes with 3 small tacos. I stare in confusion because she made no sense. Once again I repeat myself, âwell I ordered three small taquitos not the full sized tacos, wether I say an order of taquitos or 3 taquitos you should understand it as the same.â And she goes, âno, you need to read the menu because you didnât read it.â At this point I was baffled by her customer service. I take a look and it says âOrden de tres taquitosâ which means, an order of three mini taquitos. So I read it out loud to her and she goes, âyou see, when you order you have to say an order of taquitos because if you say three taquitos we will understand it as if you want a total of nine taquitos or three full sized tacos.â After she said that I couldnât even continue speaking to her so I ended up moving the napkins, salt shakers, and cups around to make space for my understand. I thought âholy cow maybe Iâm wrongâ so I start drawing three taquitos with my finger on the table and ask her of three taquitos are equivalent to and order of three taquitos. And she says âno, you have to say the order exactly the way it is on the menu for us to understand your order.â I look at her and say, âIf that is the way this business is ran, maybe you should clarify that with the customers and communicate your rules on ordering with us.â And she says, âNo, you just need to read a menu, i always have to correct customers because you donât know how to read.â Since I was sitting at the table with friends who had already gotten their meals, I didnât want to keep her idiotic mouth repeat the same thing. At this point I had become too frustrated to stay polite and respectful and I ask her âhow is that logically correct?â And she goes âyouâre not understanding and youâre not being logicalâ then the first waitress who took my order comes by and tell her to just take it to the kitchen and tell them to make my order. As sheâs walking away I start to think and try putting myself in her shoes. One, she wasnât the person who took my order so how would she know what I said when I ordered? Two, if I had supposedly ordered three orders of taquitos, why did I get three full sized tacos? After she comes back with my actual order I noticed the green hot sauce all over them, I had ordered my taquitos with no onions or hot sauce. I didnât want to cause a scene so I get up with my plate and go to both waitresses and say, âI donât mean to bother you anymore but I ordered without hot sauce and these have hot sauce.â The same waitress who had NOT, I repeat NOT TAKEN MY ORDER, goes âno you just said no onion and thatâs what we gave you, hereâs the paper with your orderâ then the original waitress who DID take my order takes a look at her notes and whispers at her coworker, âit says no spice next to her order.â After the whole dilemma, I finally got my order right. I WILL NOT...
Read moreI just feel so disrespected on how horrible I guys In the register acted over my mom. I leave very near the junction location however today I had to travel from my job in Manhattan To queens to drop some stuff. Therefore I ask my mom to drop 10 mins before I got there to pick up a food order from the tulcingo restaurant. After I arrive I asked if the food should be ready soon. The guy there told me "yes any time now" 10 mins passed and no food. a couple of mins passed and my mom ask if the food is almost ready because I had to go back to work in Manhattan. The guys in the register didn't say anything just open his register took out money and handle out with no words. How disrespectful was the guys being the my mom being a women she just gets no answer just money handle back. Once I saw that I took took the money ask told the guys to cancel the order. The type of disrespect is unacceptable for me. I would still accept if he told her something like "the order will take a few mins, but if you don't mind waiting then I am happy to refund your money" but she didn't get an answer only money handle back. I understand the sometimes this place is busy but at 3:30 pm there was only 3 table and 3 delivery/pick up including minds More then 20 mins for a torta and nachos when they normally take 10 mins or less since all the food there is already cooked. They only heat the the meat to make a torta.
The Food is not that great, bad customer service, I am never eating here again, giving my money to the other Mexicans restaurants around...
Read moreThe food was good and well-portioned. Unfortunately though, we had to wait over 30 minutes for tacos because of an issue in the kitchen. The restaurant was not crowded at all, and customers who came in after us were getting served before us. The server did not approach us to explain why there was a delay, instead she disappeared for a while and then sat at the table behind us until I asked. The cook (who can be seen from the seating area) was being extremely rude to the servers as well. When the server asked for an update, he began to get visibly angry, grabbed our order receipt and slammed it on his table. He then began to ignore the server and argue with the cashier, and made the atmosphere uncomfortable overall. While the server was very nice and apologetic, there should be more attentiveness and...
