I came to this place to watch a UFC event and enjoy a dinner date with someone special. I had a bad experience in this establishment. Upon arriving to the place it took a good 10 mins to be seated in what appeared to be a not so busy place. Which is fine with me assuming that the service or food would be good. unfortunately, for me, neither turned out to be the case. I sat in a booth to be able to have a tv to watch the MMA event. The appetizer that I ordered was pretty good but the food I ordered wasn’t amazing. The main course wasn’t disgusting but it just lacked flavor and love. I wanted to give this 1 star but the appetizer was pretty good. I’d give that alien a 8.5/10. The vodka sauce lacked flavor and was very watery and the burger looked like it was rushed. As for the service I was one of the last people dining and I constantly felt like I was being rushed by the servers to finish up my meal, so they can wrap the kitchen. This place was very close to getting a 3 star review maybe even a 4 star review but the service and main course didn’t help. What ultimately sealed the deal for me and caused me to leave a bad review in the first place is the fact that this place is advertised as a Location that plays UFC events and when I showed up that didn’t appear to be the case. i was waiting around confused to why the broadcast wasn’t turning on and when I went to ask the manager about the event she said replies “Oh I don’t know , something happened with it. We won’t be playing it”. I personally feel like there’s a good possibility that nobody at the bar came to watch the ufc event and in an effort to save money on the PPV purchase , this place decided on just not play it. Maybe the patrons at this bar came to watch our dying New york teams lose. Not sure. But the experience overall wasn’t good for me at all. I would’ve gave it a 1 star review but the egg rolls were so good and the Concept of the place was good enough that i think it deserves 2/5 stars. Overall bad experience.
Part of me wants to try this place again for some drinks and that appetizer and to maybe catch a ufc event but i’m afraid i’ll go thru the same BS I did as last time. Maybe this place is better for locals/regulars so I wouldn’t dismiss it but for me personally it was a waste of money , time and verrazano toll.
Lucky for me there was a dave and busters near by that plays the ufc fights. The $100+ I spent there I would’ve loved to spend it here had the bar actually played the event that they advertise to play. No ufc PPV was ultimately the deal...
Read moreService was good, very attentive server with a friendly demeanor. Pulled pork nachos were a nice blend of sweet, smokey, and spicy. Ordered the Jalapeño Ranch burger, this is where it went south. They had run out of buns and was alerted after the order had been placed. Communication is key, the server should have been made aware of this when the last bun was served and not after someone else ordered a burger. Was informed that they had English muffins or hero bread for the burger. Decided on the English muffin, big mistake as the burger (ordered medium rare and was indeed cooked medium rare as per the red/pink color) was somehow extremely dry and coupled with a dry English muffin it was truly not the best - to put it politely. Would have been decent, had they Jalapeño ranch sauce made its way onto the burger as it was served without the sauce neither on the side or on the burger itself. All of this is still somehow understandable as things do happen. However, I do not remember my wifes order but it was with mashed potatoes, same situation - only informed about there being no more mashed potatoes after the order was placed. Correct me if I'm wrong - potatoes are a staple of Irish cuisine, an Irish Pub should never run out of potatoes of any variety. Maybe we were dining late you say? Not the case, we were seated and ordered before 9. If you want to take a shot, go ahead - would not recommend and...
Read moreThe experience I have had in the past was far better than today's. I do not want to knock them for our one terrible day we had so this is why I rate 3 instead of.the usual 5 I would. We had a waitress in the past that my husband and I had a couple of times that was great. Too bad I never grabbed her name. On to today's experience. I know the challenges of outdoor dining as I can imagine, wind blowing and all, we did have to wait almost an hour for our food. My steak brunch order was cold and not medium rare. Would've been if it was served warm. My eggs were not made to order, scrambled instead of Sunnyside. My daughter had a hair in her eggs, bacon and cheese order. My son's order was billed 6 bucks extra when I ordered his from the children's menu for $8 bucks. He's 5, so I don't know if the waitress was trying to make up for our unbilled items or if she was just making another error. Never had the waitress I had today before. I just know that I may never frequent here again. It was not a good experience. Also, when your guests order French fries *as a former waitress, it is always procedure to ask if we want ketchup or steak sauce for the steak, or if we need anything at all. We were left hanging until I had to grab the attention of another which was not working our table. Very disappointed with...
