Westerleigh Park — Attraction in New York

Otherwise known as prohibition park for the dry community who originally settled in this area. Well times have changed but the park still has a small town center feel to it that is inviting and fun. It hosts many events through the year and is a nice place to relax and stroll. It's small and you can almost see right across it. A plus when you have kids who like to roam. Honestly I enjoy the trees the shade and the band stand, the events and the feel of the community around it. Overall a very nice small park, worth a stop, a picnic or just a nice place to take a break...

Married at this park 30 years ago, visited and was disappointed. It was treated as a dog park with off leash dog with a group of 10 or more loud owners ( I am a dog owner and love them but ppl should not allow dogs off leash in open park that totally disregard commands). This is a cute, little quaint park with no playground equipment, but is visited by many families. I got engaged in this park, starting a "tradition" lol.
