Oakwood Diner — Restaurant in New York

Two senior woman go regularly to this diner. We order breakfast, the breakfast comes, no fork, no toast, no problem this happens, I politely ask for a fork. The rudest waitress ever asked “ I don’t know why you don’t have a fork 🤷🏻‍♀️, still no toast. I was now still waiting for fork and toast, my friend spills her water, by accident we proceed with no help from 3 lazy servers to clean it up. I show my waitress that my eggs and bacon were floating in water, all the other food was fine. The waitress at the register comes over and says “ I don’t know what you expect me to do with this, it’s already been in the computer, you have to pay for this plate and the new 2 eggs with 2 slices of bacon”. I said I never heard of this, you mean Any patron that spills anything has to pay double. Ridiculous, and obviously not true, I mean it’s a diner. They brought my barely decent french toast to the table, after I had one piece I decided i wanted to eat it at home and got up to go ask for a take home container, and by the time I got back to my table there was already someone throwing my food away. It was raining out and there were only two other tables filled. No need to throw out food not even a minute after anyone gets up. Ridiculous, my dad goes there all the time but if he chooses to go back next time it will be alone. Also they better have imported the oranges from tampa and squeezed the juice in the back for THE 7 DOLLARS my orange...

They are angels 👼 at this place! I didn’t know that my AirPods fell out of my bag and was able to trace it back to them 😍! They kept them for me ❤️!!! Thankfully 🤦🏻‍♀️😃

Also, by the way, their brunch was super delicious!! We had the spanakopita appetizer which was super delicious. It came with salad and a tzatziki yogurt dip, which made it even more super delicious! I had an eggs Benedict Florentine with hashbrowns and my partner had a souvlaki plate. Everything was very fresh and the service was excellent!
