Osaka — Restaurant in New York

This is a wonderful place on Avenue U in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, that seems never to be filled with diners, but should be. My friends from the neighborhood, who go there often, don't understand why it's never crowded. Perhaps this gem is still yet to be discovered. The service is very competent and friendly. When I visited the restaurant just a few days ago with these friends, the chef, who's also the owner, even came out to talk with us a bit and advise us about the menu. The decor reflects Japanese style: minimalist, yet warm, calming, and comfortable. And the food is great! The sushi I had was fresh and tasty. I wish I could give 0 stars. I am not one to write reviews but I order from here all the time and now I ordered and my order was 30 minutes after the time they said it would be delivered by. And I get my order finally, without the sauces I ordered and paid for. I asked them to please have someone bring them since I ordered them because I wanted them for a reason, and their answer was that they couldn’t have someone bring the sauces because they were busy. I’ve been ordering from this place for years. They hired a new delivery guy that showed up with an empty beer can in my bag. I opened the bag and said what is this? He responded that he was from Knapp Street. I said I ordered from Osaka, he then said ohhhh let me go back to the car to get it. 😤😤 I returned back to my apartment, called Osaka and the person that answered the phone said they would send another delivery.
