No complaints about the pizza. However, the service and staff have disappointed me.
What is the point of having a pizza delivery tracker if the pizza never comes on time to begin with? Even with the buffer time for delivery accounted for...
The first time I had to call the store regarding my order being overly late. One of employees who answered the phone was very rude and impatient, saying that I had not placed an order with them even when I had placed at least an hour ago, receiving a SENT confirmation email to my email address which notified both my phone and computer. She insisted that I had called the wrong location because my phone number did not come up on her system. I gave her benefit of the doubt, and called the number that I was provided for my local place again. I was actually calling the right number.. Same employee picked up and then snapped at me on the phone saying that I still called the wrong location. I had to explain to her and say that this was the correct location that I had ordered from. She then realized that she made a mistake, after seeing my phone number pop up in the system this time around. Making a mistake is understandable, but the attitude, snark, and refusing to apologize for the mistake was not.
Just placed an order over an hour ago and it still hasn't shown up. I called the store, and one of the staff picked up and told me to hold. After he put me back on the line, he did not give me an appropriate customer service greeting. Thus, I was the one who had to ask and confirm if this was Papa John's. He had attitude with the way he spoke with me, and told me the pizza was on its way and will arrive in a few minutes. He said to call back in the next 10 minutes if it still did not show up.
We waited around 15 minutes and the pizza still hasn't shown up. I called the man back and told him the situation and even asked if he knew the delivery person's whereabouts. The only thing he told me was that the pizza delivery person was "close to my area" and will be there "in the next few minutes". I briefly told him that I called earlier and they have told me the same thing that the pizza would be here in a few minutes, and if it didn't come in the next 5 minutes I would be calling them back again.

It's sad I have to write this review. I ordered pizza online and when I received it there was a hairlike substance on top of it. This had me extremely alarmed, I threw out the pizza immediately as I did not want to risk myself possibly getting infected with covid-19. I contacted the store to see if I could get a refund or the same pizza again at the very least but when I got in contact with someone about the issue they immediately denied it. The representative I was speaking with told me that they had no women working there so it was impossible for hair to show up. I then tried explaining that it was a hairlike substance and not necessarily hair but they kept cutting me off and even getting somewhat angry with me for even considering there was anything wrong with the pizza. They refused to listen and just said I was right, it was clear they didn't believe it at all. The only good thing about all this was the person delivering the pizza who was very nice to me. I'm honestly heartbroken, this is a place I've known and loved for years and to see such little trust when we all have to be extremely cautious in 2020 is disgusting and makes me never want to order from there again. This store used to be pretty good for cheap and decent pizza, which is why they had good reviews before 2016ish. The last couple of years, this place slowly got worse.
I mostly order online, and the pizza used to get here in 30-45 minutes, about the same as the estimated delivery time. Then it started to be 50-60 minutes, 15 minutes past the estimate. Late 2017, it was about 75 minutes, and yesterday, it took over an hour and a half (ordered at 4:55 pm, got the pizza at around 6:30). The estimated delivery time was 5:30, then changed to 6:05, and I didn't bother checking if it changed again after I finally got the pizza.
For anyone else planning to order delivery from this store, try to plan ahead and expect a 90-120 minute delay. That way you won't be as confused as I was.
The pizzas are still decent, and the delivery person will generally say sorry when they get to you after 90+ min, and I still tip them $3-5 on top of the $5 delivery charge. But when you consider the time and the other pizza shops around the neighborhood, it becomes difficult to justify going to...
