I've been to New York only a couple of times, but I made sure every time I've come, I have to taste some of the best Pizza the Big Apple has to offer. I went to Bash while I was visiting friends in Brooklyn on their suggestion. The buzzer system was a little confusing at first (it beeps every time one food or drink order is ready) but you can understand it fairly quickly. I tried three of their 8" pizzas off the recommendation of the hostess (Lili), and all my food came out hot and fresh in less than 10 minutes, maybe 7, even. While I'm a homer and will defend Cleveland pizza with a passion, I'd be lying if I said Bash's offerings weren't some of the tastiest dishes I've had. On top of all of that, the staff were excellent, friendly, and always ready to help and serve.
If you are traveling to Brooklyn or are a resident yourself, I highly urge you to give Bash a try. On top of their great pizza, they have a selection of salads and sandwhiches I would love to try on my return.
Tl;DR: Bash Pizza rules and I can't wait to go back when...
Read moreTonight was my first time visiting and I am glad I did! I have been to Kosher restaurants when I lived in Queens, but I never visited a Kosher pizzeria. Three things:
The food - I really enjoyed the 6" Detroit (square deep dish) "Bashology" pizza. DELICIOUS! It contained pesto, sun dried tomatoes, black olives and (I believe) caramelized onions. I should have taken a picture since I ate it so quickly!
The service - The three young ladies working the counter were extremely busy. They were multitasking between the various complex orders, and even a child running behind the counter; yet their patience was exceptional. Special kudos to the African American lady and the taller brunette with how they handled the child while they were helping the other customers!
The ambiance - The place looks nice and I enjoyed the music!
I will gladly go back and tell my friends. It is a very nice dining option in a neighborhood that could use more...
Read moreI don't usually eat at kosher resturants, only when my friends in Brooklyn bring me along. We came to Bash on Wednesday night and everything was great. It's a self-serve place, so there's no waitresses which you should know. I ordered a Fungi Pasta and "The Hipster" sandwich with extra avocado. Our food was ready in less than 10 minutes, and it was so worth every penny. Not only that, but the table busser (i think her name was tony) was so super friendly with my friends and I that we felt obligated to leave a tip in the tip jar.... even the cashiers were super friendly. Bash Pizza is more of a kid friendly place... we saw lots of families, but it was also great for our group of adults. One of my friends ordered an Oreo Milkshake and I had a few sips and it was probably the best milkshake I had. The only (small) downside is that I wish they played the music a little higher in the...
