My inaugural visit to The Canteen in Brooklyn was nothing short of a culinary revelation. Established in 2015, this kosher fast-food gem has undoubtedly set the standard for a new era of high-quality and delectable kosher delights in NYC.
From the moment I stepped into The Canteen, the lively atmosphere and enticing aromas hinted at the gastronomic journey awaiting me. The restaurant's commitment to providing high-quality kosher fast food was evident from the diverse menu, boasting a tantalizing array of options that went beyond the typical fast-food fare.
The standout dish that stole the show was the country-fried schnitzel. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and bursting with flavor, it was a true testament to The Canteen's dedication to elevating traditional favorites. Each bite was a harmonious dance of textures and tastes, showcasing the culinary prowess behind this Brooklyn establishment.
The pulled-beef brisket and burgers were equally impressive, offering a savory symphony of seasoned meat and carefully selected toppings. The meticulous attention to detail in crafting each dish was apparent, as every component contributed to the overall deliciousness.
A particular highlight that cannot be overlooked was the nationally renowned soft beef jerky. The Canteen has perfected the art of creating tender, flavorful jerky that sets a new standard for this classic snack. It's a must-try for any beef jerky enthusiast or someone looking to experience this culinary marvel for the first time.
The Canteen succeeds not only in delivering exceptional flavors but also in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff exuded friendliness and efficiency, ensuring that my first visit was a memorable and enjoyable experience. The dedication to customer satisfaction was evident, making it clear why The Canteen has become a cornerstone of kosher fast...
Read moreUsed to be one of my favorite spots to grab lunch at work, but that’s over. Not sure if management changed, but the food is consistently cold, and not the same as it used to be. I just ordered an order of my usual honey garlic poppers. Came out cold, even tho I’m here waiting on the food. Like how do you manage to do that? I went back and They gave me a new hot order. But it’s soggy now. Not the crispy poppers that I’m used to having here. Needless to say, a consistent customer of 2 years is not coming back here anymore. Not to mention, the prices went up. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is bcs the gentleman in front was being polite and understanding. The cook in the back however, has to go. Laughing as if it makes him happy when people...

Guy behind the counter is on his phone all the time, attitude when placing the order, preoccupied with his headphones in his ears to give proper service, and not friendly vibes. i asked for some sauce on the side and he answers that there isn't any, when i asked what are those, pointing at the sauces he says its extra so i asked how much and he told me $1. I asked if its even a dollar after i just order $70 worth of food, he says yup. i hand him a dollar and still made me stand while searching for his "expensive sauce". food can be good but treat your customers like that and theyll be leaving with a bad taste in...
