Happy Hour well drinks (at the bar only) are only $4, so that's a huge plus. We got the meatball salad. Why does a salad contain a meatball and ricotta cheese? Ours is not to reason why; ours is but to do and die. Regardless, it was tasty. The same cannot be said of the vaunted clam pizza. You know how a lousy dollar slice barely has any cheese or sauce? The same sad technique has been applied here. This pizza is bone dry...so dry that we had to order a side of watery vodka sauce just to get it down. You won't taste much in the way of clams, but you will taste plenty of garlic. The crust is crispy, but that's as far as you can praise this, one of the most disappointing pies on an island with high standards for pizza.

It’s a very cute set up and looks welcoming. Took a little while to get seated because they weren’t really paying attention because it was not busy. The food was meh but maybe it’s because what I ordered. I got a chicken parm with penne vodka which includes a $3 charge because I guess it’s not a staple of the restaurant. That should’ve been a red flag not to get it. I didn’t really like it. The pasta was fine but I didn’t really like the chicken, it didn’t have the crisp I wanted. The food was warm but not as hot as I would’ve liked it. My mother got spaghetti and meatballs and she thought it was bland. The waitress was sweet, but new so she forgot to give us bread until we asked and didn’t ask how the food was.

Ordered the calamari, meatballs, spicy sausage pasta and the chicken a LA roadhouse. Food came out in the time they said it would. Texture and flavor of meatballs was delicious and nice. Calamari had good flavor was a light marinara. The chicken a LA roadhouse was a bit salty due to the prosciutto but still good. Lastly the pasta was cooked well, had the appropriate amount of kick (light but still flavorful without pain). Overall really enjoyed this meal. I'd definitely come back

Very disappointed menu is limited prices are high. We had baked clams they were the size of a quarter the taste was nothing special I ordered a tossed salad with oil and vinegar on the side T he waitress said she was NOT ALLOWED to give me dressing on the side ! Are you joking ?? When I said I did not want it she gave it to me as I ordered . She was very nice & apologized Then I was served my lasagna which consisted of no cheese just some melted mozzarella melted on top.I always thought there was ricotta in the layers .SIlly me ,! The sauce was really nothing special. My companion had mussels with linguine in a red sauce there was a good amount of mussels it was lacking in linguine Sauce was ok again nothing special .The best part of the meal was the wine which comes from a bottle The price of the glass of wine was decent .As I said before the prices were high .Which if your having a good meal is ok . But I certainly did not leave there saying I can’t wait to go back So many other choices on Staten Island cafe Milano ,Reggianos blows this place away.I just want to know what happened..?. The Roadhouse at one time was very good so sad Let me say...

Go to the Road House--you're going to have a real good time!

If you are driving there, be sure you keep your eyes on the road and your hands upon the wheel :) Their parking lot is of limited size, but it isn't usually hard to find parking on the street--it's not like it's in Midtown Manhattan.

The food and service is very good and it feels like a genuine NYC Italian restaurant. They claim their meatballs have been named "best in NYC" though they don't say by who. They are oversized and a side order includes just two, but that is equal to about 4 regular-sized meatballs. I recommend getting them, although you may well find your entry fills you up plentifully. The place is old-school Italian in that way as well!

My only minor rap against them is that their lasagna isn't made with meat sauce, just marinara and cheese. It's good, but my mother, who was born of Italian-born parents, always made hers with meat sauce, so I have come to prefer it like that.

This is a mainstay for Wagner College students and they get a discount here, so if you can include one in your party.

Let it roll, baby, roll Let it roll All night long. (Or at least...

Only gave it two stars because it is a nice looking place inside and the service is good, however, the food here isn't good at all. What they charge for the food here doesn't make sense at all. I would have had a better meal at Olive Garden. The people that keep saying the food is amazing and that it is great are either friends with the owners or they do not have a clue about what good food tastes like. The fried calamari had no flavor and it wasn't for that lemon wedge that I squeezed on top of the calamari, I wouldn't have known what flavor was. The mussels were very average and I would have gotten better ones from the frozen food section that you could cook on your own. I am still wondering why they charge so much money for food that tastes like nothing. Hopefully they see this review and get it together. I am usually good at picking restaurants, but I dropped ball here. Also the meatballs, they are gross. I can honestly say that this place...
