Gina Michele Hair Salon — Local services in New York

Woke up on a random Saturday morning and decided that I hate my hair color. Too lazy to travel into the city, I took a 2 minute walk to a hair salon at the corner of my block. Never been, only noticed in passing.

Gina greeted me and I told her what I was looking for, grey blending. She glared into my soul for a few seconds and said "gimme a minute". She was finishing up her current client. A little bit shooked by the glare, I said "take your time!".

About 5 minutes later, she sat me down. I explained to her in detail what I wanted and showed her 2 pictures. Grey blending mainly but didn't expect much of a result. I figured if she turned me away (my hair is compromised), I'll just go home and pull out the Feria.

"SAY NO MORE!" - her exact words (not really but close enough). Some magic bleach (it's really magic) and even more magical hands, 3hrs later, and I have hair that I've always dreamt of but could never achieve! No breakage either! I'm not even exaggerating, I have platinum silver hair!! At best in the past, I could only get a level 8/9 blonde. Gina took my hair to the next level, literally and figuratively speaking lol.

What blows my mind even more was Gina kept asking me, "Do you like it?".  WHAT!! GUUURL!!! I am OBSESSED! 🤩 I was so ecstatic, ran across the street heading home and almost twisted my ankle! I was bouncing off the walls when I got home! My mirrors were tired of seeing me flip my hair back and forth a gazillion times 😆

If you're like me.. a millennial who is sick of covering her roots every 2-3 weeks or trying to go cold turkey but it's not turning out right or fast enough.. GO HERE!! Just be careful not to hurt yourself as you leave.

I’ve been going to Gina & Michele for over 15 years. They both do such an excellent job and their prices are super reasonable. They are the nicest business owners. The salon such a great neighborhood vibe that you don’t get anymore. I genuinely enjoy seeing them when I come in for a haircut.
