Sugar & Cake Fantasies Bakery — Restaurant in New York

I have ordered many custom cakes in the past from your store and I have been highly satisfied but today I was so so so disappointed! The cake I ordered was $115 and not exactly worth the money I paid. Let’s start with the cake decoration, I was told no roses was available, so I said then many flowers to cover the empty space make so the cake looks full and more beautiful, but only one piece of rose was added with no other design or flowers, nothing.. my cousin had to add black candles and black balloons to fill up the empty spaces. I told you guys I didn’t want same style cake what the picture showed but you made it exact, with no extra creativity. Then I come to the flavor, and cake itself was supposed to be vanilla with red coloring, that was great but, it was soooo dry and where was my strawberry filling, it was so less I didn’t even taste it. Just to clarify things, the purpose of this review is not to hate or harm this place in any way. It is just my experience. That being said, I hope you take this as an informative review. Atmosphere: This place is pretty clean, small, and welcoming. Service: I have been here 3 times now. A guy and a lady had taken my orders in different days. Both are nice people when taking orders. Food: To be honest, I have only been there for their pastry menu. They are really good. I absolutely like their mini cheesecakes, not too sweet and not too creamy. I've also tried their other sweets, and they are pretty good. Prices: So, this is the only reason why I gave them 4 stars. Prices are a bit high. It would be nice if they took away one dollar from their sweets. However, I really don't know their expenses, which can be a major factor for their kind of high prices. My mother in law Rosalba is PLEASED with her birthday cake. I found this place on Google by searching "top rated bakeries in Queens". This bakery is TOP TIER. From the stellar service of the bakery associates, to the affordability of the cake, to the creative and unique design options, I am overjoyed that my family found our new bakery for our special occasions. I couldn't eat the cake because I have a dairy allergy but to see my family smile and enjoy the cake made me happy for my mother in law. They said it was not too sweet, that it was flavorful.
