I have to admit, I did not want to leave this negative review because when this restaurant first opened they were great, customer service was great, food was delicious and FRESH...and their peanut punch wasn't sour... The customer service now SUCKS, they all act like they hate their jobs and don't wanna serve you, have you waiting forever just to pay for your items. I understand that you guys have to reheat your food, but some times it's really unnecessary to be recooking the same food over and over again, the chowmein and doubles I purchased today were both burnt...seems like the same food keep getting reheated to sell...I recently bought a peanut punch and as soon as I opened the bottle it popped which was weird then I went ahead and taste it cause it was no where close to the expiration date....tasted it, sour!!! I live all the way in Brooklyn and did not want to drive all the way back to queens just to exchange a peanut punch...you guys can do a whole lot better...especially with customer service...train staff that it's ok to smile a little....and ask nicely to repeat yourself if they didnt hear you...instead of having a whole attitude just cause u may not know what exactly to get since you may be trying to experience a new dish...I've witnessed a lot of times how they act when they didnt hear you or when they just don't have time to have you repeat yourself because they didn't hear you over the music in there.... As for me, 3 times was more than enough times for me in there...I will not be coming here again or even recommend my friends/family about here...unless you guys work on atleast one of this issue.... The atmosphere is beautiful, it always looks clean so that's a plus, the pastries are delicious but a bit overpriced, and my favorite drink used to be the peanut punch but for $5 and it being spoiled way before expiration date is just ridiculous....

I’d been eyeing this place for a while - since before the Keith Lee visit but I didn’t have a chance til this past weekend. I’ve made 2 orders and each time, mixed feelings. Both times, long prep and delivery but that can be forgiven if everything else is good! 1st time : I get a call from the restaurant that the majority of the order I placed on UBER was out and I needed to pick substitutions. Many of the substitutions were out as well and then the desserts I ordered they just sent me whatever they wanted - some coconut roll which while good, was not the pone and pine tarts I wanted. Food I did receive was very good but you know how when your mouth is set for something and then you have to panic choose something else….šŸ˜• 2nd: ordered for me and 3 others. No call that anything was out of stock but I get the order and on one of the paper bags see a note ā€œno phoulorie, sorry šŸ˜ž ā€œ. Was my bill adjusted? No. Was a chance at subs given? No. So the phoulorie which was mine and was really wanted and was to add to my bake and saltfish as a fuller meal was missing. All I could do is request my $3 back. The others enjoyed their food and I enjoyed my lonely Bake. I’m still a little hungry tho so šŸ˜“ I want to love and support but I’m afraid to order again

I loved this place. First stop on my most recent trip to NY, and it did not disappoint in the least bit. I had it saved in anticipation of the trip, so I couldn’t wait to try it. I honestly didn’t know what to get until the woman ahead of me ordered, and I asked ā€œwhat’s that she got?ā€ It turned out to be Aloo Pie, so I decided to have it with Trini corned beef and pepper sauce. SO. DAMN. GOOD!! So good I ended up getting a second one (Took a pic of the first one that I almost inhaled). We also tried the Oxtail Curry Roti and Buss-Up, both equally fire šŸ”„. I will definitely be coming back here on my next trip and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND hitting this place up when you’re in the Jamaica, NY area.

Restaurant looks good, the food even looks good; However don’t waste your money here, go to Any other Caribbean restaurant on Liberty Ave & you will get better Guyanese, Trinidadan& Caribbean food!!!

Their Roti is hard/Stiff; it lacks flavor and forget about eating it the next day you since can’t it’s too hard. Ordered 2 plain and 2 dhal

The Curry Chicken needs seasoning/ spices! Ordered 1.

The fried Rice was just Eggs with soy sauce Rice and veggies; also lacked flavor! We were very Disappointed with it… we ordered 1

The Chowmein was ok ; honestly the best of all the things that we got. But it was just that ok… Not wowed by it at all

5.’The Tamarind chicken wings was flavorful but very Expensive; and they are not Whole wings for the price it’s literally wings cut into pieces. Meaning 3 Whole Tamarind chicken wings, will give you a 6 piece of wings there. We ordered a 6 piece.

Doubles; just leave it there.. we ordered 4. Wish we hadn’t.

The Fish cooked in Brown stew sauce; we waited 20 minutes for it. Wish we canceled that. It was Horrible and my sister & her husband both threw it away. We order 2 this. Just a waste…

Pastries: Not made by the restaurant; prepackaged! Some were fresh other were ok

The STAFF. The younger Lady in her 20’s was very efficient and helpful; we wish we had gotten her. We got the younger man in his 20’s or early thirties. We was the opposite. It took him over 45 minutes; yes you read right, it took him 45 to take my order. And I was considering leaving. After every item he went into the kitchen. I wasn’t sure what was going. So I asked the younger lady and she would call for him every time. In the meantime she took several orders which came during & after me.

She sensed my frustration & told him that you have the lady waiting so long. He did apologize and told the both of us that he was sorry. Smh

Tarmind restaurant is the closest Caribbean restaurant next to my home. My family was hoping that it would be Good. Sadly we are Disappointed. Back to the other Restaurants on Liberty we go… I spent exactly...

I’ve eaten here a couple times and the food is good. But my most recent experience (10 mins ago) was enough for me to never return. The first thing I that came out of my mouth when the sever asked me what I would like was ā€œCan I get one double with just tamarind sauceā€¦ā€ she turned away as I was ordering so she had to ask me again what I wanted. I repeated ā€œOnw double with tamarind and one with curry chickenā€ she begins making it and I notice her putting all this stuff on it. I stopped her asked what it was she was adding onto it and rudely she responded, ā€œthe same thing that’s in all your foodā€, I explained to her that I only asked for one double with tamarind and one with chicken.. she cuts me Off as I’m telling her this, slams the spoon down and rolls her eyes, with a nasty attitude and says ā€œI’ll make it overā€. I kindly placed my sorrel back in the fridge and just left the store. One thing I hate is when the person serving you isn’t paying attention, then messages up your order and then treats you as if you’ve done something wrong. I will not be supporting a business who handles their customers that way. These businesses forget the customers are the reason they stand. The food is good but I will not be treated that way by someone’s who job is to serve me as patron. Especially when I’m a frequent customer. It’s hurtful and...
