I recently visited Tejanos on Huguenot Ave and was blown away by the fantastic experience. The food was fresh and timely, and the ambiance of the place was welcoming and friendly.
The highlight of our meal was definitely the steak fajitas, pork tacos, and birria tacos. Each dish had a unique and delicious flavor that kept my family going back for more. The seasoning was absolutely perfect, and the portions were generous enough to satisfy our appetites.
The appetizers were also absolutely amazing - my personal favorites were the empanadas and dirty shrimp. The empanadas were stuffed with juicy meat and just the right amount of cheese, while the dirty shrimp were perfectly cooked and had just the right amount of flavor.
I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Tejanos and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience. Additionally, I have to mention how amazing the staff was. They were warm, welcoming, and friendly to all guests. It was clear that they had a true passion for making sure each guest felt at home and comfortable. The staff also seemed like family to each other, which added to the positive energy and warmth of the restaurant. It was truly a pleasure to be in such a friendly and enjoyable...
Read moreWell they have good chips and salsa but it ends there. Their street corn is like canned corn with sour cream no flavor at all, Guacamole is avocado and salt too much salt. Kids beef Taco what they ground beef was some beef I guess held together with grease. Then moving on to Quesadillas the flour tortilla was wet and mushy sitting in a cardboard bowl of liquid guessing it’s what ever the chicken was marinated in but you could not even hold it with your hand except to maybe squeeze it into a ball to ring out the liquid. A horrible experience and waste of money $58.00 for two quesadillas a taco and an order of salsa and chips and also an order of guacamole. I don’t even eat Taco Bell but if had to choose between the two Taco Bell would be my choice. I guess Staten Island is just a terrible place for most food when you head out to Brooklyn even NJ you could find...
Read moreOrdered a steak burrito and birra tacos. They use cheap, flavorless shredded steak and the burritos contained equally bland white rice and almost nothing else, barely a hint of green which I assume was a teaspoon of guacamole.
The birra tacos were slightly better because they come with the broth to dip them which gave them some sort of flavor.
I paid an extra $2 for a cup of salsa verde which was more brown than green and had an equally unpleasant taste, only used it on one bite before putting the cap on and tossing it in the trash.
Each item we ordered was about $17 with a debit card fee on top of it so it's pricey for food we didn't even finish.
You're better off going to any random taco truck than overpaying for this...
